When you think of Disney, the first thing that may come to your mind is “princess”. How can it not? I mean, Cinderella’s Castle is the icon of the Magic Kingdom, many of the classic Disney movies are based on a “once upon a time” love story between a princess and her prince. And then if you visit the Disney parks, you can’t miss the little princesses fresh from the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique gracing the presence of all the guests in the Disney parks. So how do you plan a perfect trip for your little Disney princess without breaking the bank? Today we are going to explore some magical, princess focused options for Planning a Perfect Disney Princess Trip.
Where can my daughter meet the most Disney princesses, without sitting down to a meal? I feel like the best place to meet Disney princesses is in Epcot’s World Showcase. Belle, Mulan, Princess Aurora, Princess Jasmine, Snow White can all be found in World Showcase. I also love this to meet princesses because as a grown up, I really enjoy Epcot’s World Showcase. So if we can meet some princesses while my husband and I are enjoying our time in World Showcase checking out the countries and sampling some food, even better! The My Disney Experience App has the meet and greet times, and you can see the princesses off and on throughout the day!
I can’t get into Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Are there any alternatives? First, there are two Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiques, one at Magic Kingdom and one at Downtown Disney. If you cannot get into the one at Magic Kingdom, try the one at Downtown Disney. This location has more chairs and is larger, so they have more appointments available. If that is not an option, try the Pirates League. The Mermaid Package at the Pirates League looks fabulous with an Elsa, Cinderella, or Ariel dress. Plus, it’s a tad less expensive. Another option is the Ivy Trellis at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. This location does service young children. They have a Flower Girl Bundle, that is a perfect alternative! If all else fails, bring a hair extension and some glitter spray from home. Put your little one in her favorite princess dress, glam up her hair, and give her a little lip gloss. She’ll be ready to meet her favorites before you know it!
Is Cinderella’s Royal Table the only place to dine with princesses? Cinderella’s Royal Table is a classic princess dining experience. However, it is not the only place you can eat with the Disney royalty! Akershus in Epcot’s World Showcase Norway Pavilion is an excellent alternative. First, you see just as many princesses here as you do at the Royal Table. We saw up to five on our trip! Belle, Ariel, Snow White, Aurora, and Cinderella were all there and greeted us at various times through our breakfast. Plus, Akershus is only one table service credit, as opposed to the Cinderella’s Royal Table being two credits. The Storybook Dining at Akershus is very royal, and you feel as if you are in a castle. It may not be THE castle, but it is wonderful! Also, at 1900 Park Fare you can dine with Cinderella and her royal stepfamily. 1900 Park Fare hosts them for dinner, and is located at the Grand Floridian Resort.
Which Disney Resort do you recommend we stay at with our princess? The three that come to mind are Art of Animation, Port Orleans Riverside, and the Grand Floridian. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has Little Mermaid themed rooms, which are perfect for a family of 4. Then Port Orleans Riverside is where you will find Royal Guest Rooms. Your favorite Disney princesses decorate the inside of these rooms, completely with royal bedding and photos on the wall! Plus, there is a special note waiting for you when you arrive! Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is the ultimate luxurious location for your family with your princess. It is beautiful, inside and out. Plus, it gives great views of the Magic Kingdom! The Grand Floridian is also home to the Perfectly Princess Tea Party.
Where can I find Disney princess dresses at a reasonable price? Disney Store sells Disney Princess dresses at a reasonable price, and you are likely to get the one you want if you order it from the Disney Store. When you purchase one in the parks, you may or may not find the princess or size you need. So if you arrive with one in hand, you are for sure going to have the one that is best for your daughter. Another option is to check Etsy. Some seamstresses make dresses themed after Disney Princesses. These are adorable, and unique! Target, Wal Mart and other retailers have them as well.
