Wow, thanks for sharing this. My daughter and I searched the parks last August for these. Having a map will be very helpful. Already put this info in my “must do” notes for our next trip in May! :)
I think getting the pennies was one of my DD’s favorite things. We actually could have used more pennies at Epcot but I only took one m&m tube full with us that day.
I am so excited to follow you on your Disney trip this week! It is getting me excited for our trip in about a month! So excited to go for our daughter’s 5th B-day. It will be our first time to Magic Kingdom and our second time to Epcot and Animal Kingdom! We surprised her with an early birthday card and now we are doing a mickey countdown! Looking foward to breakfast in the castle with the princess’ on her actual birthday! Thank you for taking so much time to do this blog. It has helped us save so much and I have learned all about Disney from your posts.
I guess you do learn something everyday. What a great idea to have maps. Sure would make it easier to find all the pennies, although its nice to hunt for the ones you don’t have already. Will have to stop and get one the next time.
What an awesome idea! I’ve always thought I was a little odd for collecting pressed pennies…even finding a website where you can get machine locations by state and making sure to check it out before we travel. The hunt is part of the fun but a map would be great at Disney or Epcot to make sure you didn’t miss any you really wanted! Hope you guys are having a great time! And so glad to know so many of you are also penny collectors!
(In case anyone wants tocheck it out – I think the site is pennycollector dot com)
Thanks for the site. I started collecting pressed pennies when I started dating my husband. I actually have one from our first date (Santa Barbara Zoo, CA), our honeymoon, trips, and now collect with the kids too. It’s a fun souvenir of memorable times.
We only live a few hours away and go 3-4 times a year. I am always searching for NEW stuff for the kids to get excited about. This is perfect. Now I can get some rooms clean by promising them shiny new pennies.
I’ve never done the pressed pennies at Disney and certainly didn’t know they had maps available. Learned somthing new. :) We’ve been having a quiet morning here and I just remembered that you were leaving today on your trip so I had to catch up on what you’ve been doing so far. Your live from Disney postings are always my favorites! Almost makes me feel like I’m there too… Have an amazing trip!

Is this only at epcot? Is it a dollar in quarters or .50?

I had no clue that you can do this!!! I will have to do this next time and try to collect them all, lol
Didn’t know they had these….so cool.

Didn’t know about the maps. Allears.net also has a list of what the different characters are at each place.
I did not know they had maps to the pennies, that would have been handy. Great helpful hint for next time we go.

That’s cool…I didn’t know they had that. We will have to get one when we go down to Disney World in March. Hope you guys have a blast!

Make sure to give us some tips for Epcot! :)
I didn’t know they had maps, thank you for telling us. My girls LOVE getting these & I’ll make sure to get one on our next trip.
Didn’t know they gave out maps! That makes it a lot easier than having to hunt everywhere.
