If you are ready to plan a quick weekend trip to Disney World, here are some tips:
Limit your trip to 1-2 parks. There is so much to see and do in Walt Disney World and there is no way to do it all even if you stay for 2 weeks! So for a short weekend trip, I recommend limiting yourself to visiting just one or two of the Disney parks. The best parks for this would be Magic Kingdom or Epcot.
Arrive early and stay late. Plan on getting to the park at least 30 minutes before it opens and stay as late as you can. Schedule a table service restaurant for around 2 pm for a relaxing break. You can also visit some of these attractions to refresh in the afternoon.
Stay in a value resort. If your weekend trip plans involve you spending as much time as possible in the parks, book a value resort for this trip. You will save money while getting the benefits of a Disney Resort.
Attend special events. Are you planning this trip just to attend a special event like Flower and Garden or RunDisney? Make plans to visit these events, but expect high crowds. Many locals come out on the weekends to attend these as well. If the event isn’t high on your list of must dos, visit that park in the morning and then hop to another park in the afternoon.
Have no expectations. Don’t go into your weekend visit with high expectations and a huge list of things you want to do. Just relax and experience the Disney magic. You are sure to have a great time!
