This tip on reusing junk mail envelopes comes from my reader Marie:
When I sort my mail, I have a box that I put the fresh envelopes that are included inside bills, credit card offers and more. I rarely have to buy envelopes anymore.
I also save all my boxes. If they are printed on, I cut the corner of the box and turn it inside out. (here’s a tutorial .)
If the envelope has a window on it, write the address of the person or business you are sending the envelope out to on a sheet of paper and insert it in the envelope at the window.

I’ve been doing this for years, it saves & there is less waste. I recycle, but others don’t & it’s a shame home many of these type of envelopes don’t get used. I also reply to the ones who send pre-paid envelopes. If i’m not interested, I say no thanks and mail it back. It helps out Postal Service :) The more mail they deliver, the better!!
