You know what I HATE? When you spend a couple hundred bucks or more on a new phone or tablet only to have it accidentally be dropped. Then the screen cracks or worse shatters. It is almost like flushing wads of money down the toilet. Thankfully that has only happened to me once. All it took was that one time to teach me my lesson. What is that lesson you are wondering? ALWAYS, I repeat always, buy a good quality phone case and screen protector like Otterbox.
Those $15.00 dollar decorative ones are cute but they won’t cut it. Unless you are going to put your new shiny electronic device under a locked glass case. All joking aside! I am sure they do offer some sort of protection. Just not enough for me. I am clumsy and drop my phone daily. Often I pass the phone to my kids to give them something do while I drive. Who knows what they do to it? Did I mention…I have a HUGE (almost luggage bag size) purse that I throw it into. My purse is a hodge podge of granola bars, hand sanitizer, gum, chap stick, coins, and tons of papers. I frequently watch Youtube while washing dishes and cooking more then once water has splashed onto my phone. I don’t know about your phone but mine is used and abused more than any other electronic device I own.
I first learned about Otterbox’s from the sells representative at Best Buy many years ago. I was looking for something to protect my new shiny Iphone 5. That was the first Iphone I ever owned. Before that I was a BlackBerry girl. When the man first suggested the $40.00 Otterbox case. I was like ummm no thank you! Back then I thought it was insane to buy a case that costs $40.00. I ended up buying a $9.00 cheap plastic case.
Guess what? Not even 3 days later I dropped my new shiny toy on asphalt while trying to dig my keys out of my purse. The screen was cracked. It cost me $80.00 to fix it! As soon as, I picked up my phone from the repair shop. I went straight over to Best Buy and bought that $40.00 Otterbox case. 3 Phones later and I am still buying Otterboxes! Every time I get a new phone or tablet. I invest in an Otterbox to protect it.
Ever since I started using Otterboxes I haven’t had any issues. No cracked screens, chips, nothing. Plus, since they are pristine inside the fancy Otterbox, when I go to sell my old phone. I get the highest suggested amount paid for that version of an Iphone. That is a double win for me!
is a great company that stands behind their products. I have had some issues with the rubber bumper case stretching out after about a year. Currently I am using a clear plastic Otterbox case. The case itself cracked my phone is unharmed as pretty as ever. I submitted a claim online. Not once but 4 times I have submitted a warranty claim via the website. All four times the process was quick, and easy. You submit the claim thru a form on the website. All you are asked to pay is the taxes, and shipping on the replacement case. No proof of purchase is required. I LOVE that they trust their customers. The whole process takes about 5 minutes including payment of around $8.00 for tax and shipping.
I like to shop with companies that stand behind their products. Usually those products cost more up front but in the long run you save money. By not having to pay full price time after time for replacement products. Jansport is another company that has a great warranty protection program.
