At our local Chinese rest. We order two of the lunch combos…it includes soup, tea, 2 portions of entrees, fried rice and an egg roll or wonton. Then we easily split that among the 4 of us. We are all happy and saved a ton!
Also, when we go to Olive Garden, I always fill up on soup, salad and breadsticks then take my entree home for lunch the next day. Sometimes the waiter will throw in a to go soup and extra breadsticks!

I have been doing this for years. The lunch usually comes with a soup too, so that saves money as well since we always order it! Plus chinese food usually stays hot for a long time.

This is a great tip! My husband and I do this often at our local Chinese restaurant. We can feed our family of 4 on 14.00! Of course we also bring it home and don’t order drinks. Drinks at restaurants is a HUGE chunk of the bill. That soda that costs 2.50 you MAY get 2-3 refills tops could buy a 12 pk of soda from the grocery store:)
