Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance remains a very popular ride at Hollywood Studios and getting a reservation for many has proved challenging.
Disney has heard, and is implementing a new approach to the virtual queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance! The new pilot approach begins November 3, 2020.
Times & Locations to score your boarding group:
- Check for a boarding group starting at 7am wherever you are on Disney property! This can be done at your Disney Resort and more. Must have: valid ticket/annual pass and a Disney Park Pass for Hollywood Studios to check for an available boarding group that day.
- Another chance to join the virtual queue will open up at 2pm, guests must be inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios to access the 2nd virtual queue opportunity and not have scored a group earlier in the day.
Recently added and aligning with health & safety measures are clear barriers between the 2 rows of seats on the ride. This allows more guests to ride at the same time.
Tips to get a Virtual Queue spot:
- Register an account in My Disney Experience
- Download the My Disney Experience mobile app on your smart device or ensure you’re using the most updated version of the app before you arrive at the park.
- Have a valid Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the day you’re visiting
- Link all park tickets in your party to your My Disney Experience account
- Select one member of your party to access the virtual queue for everyone in your group; if multiple people in your party try to join the virtual queue simultaneously, that may complicate your ability to secure a boarding group
- Remember, virtual queue boarding groups are limited and subject to availability
