The International Food & Wine Festival may just be my favorite festival at Epcot. The 2019 Food & Wine Festival runs August 29 through November 23. Here are my top 10 things to do at the Food & Wine Festival.
1. Eat to the Beat Concert Series
At the America Gardens Theatre guests can watch nightly performances, occurring 3 times each evening throughout the festival. Enjoy well-known artists, Pop singers, Christian and more. Each concert lasts 30 minutes. Arrive early for best seating.
2. Eat to the Beat Dining Package
If your a foodie that wants a guaranteed seat for eat to the Beat Concert, consider the Eat to the Beat Dining package. Enjoy a meal and a seat to the show included in the price.
3. Global Marketplaces
One of the best parts of this Festival is the food! For 2019 there are 30 Global Marketplaces. New eats for 2019 include the Kenyan Coffee BBQ Beef Tenderloin in the Africa Marketplace and the plant-base Cottage Pie at Earth Eats. There are many tasty entrees and treats to try.
4. Candy Sushi
Candy Sushi is a returning favorite yearly for guests. Guests get to make and eat Candy Sushi, led by a Disney Chef. Reservations are not required, however they are recommended. This favorite fills up fast!
5. Festival Merchandise
Bring home commemorative Food and Wine Festival merchandise with the Food and Wine logo on select. Each year guests can typically find: Tees, pins, Minnie Ear headband, specialty MagicBand and more.
6. Family Play Zone
Plan to spend some time letting your child play at the playground. There is a Family Play Zone constructed with kids in mind to burn off extra energy and learn through exploring.
7. Pick up your free Festival Guide
Keep your eye out on countertops of Marketplaces and more for a Festival Guide. These pocket-sized guides contain all Marketplaces and their menus. Plus, free stickers to check out where you tried! Not only does it have useful information, it makes a great frugal souvenir. It will be fun to look back on and remember all the dishes.
8. Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak
This is an additional fee activity for guests. Partake in a fun scavenger hunt, searching for Remy throughout the Festival. Pick up your map & stickers from: Pin Central, Port or Entry and World Traveler at International Gateway. Once you find Remy, place a sticker then bring your completed map to Disney Traders. Guests can choose a complimentary surprise (usually a pin or magnet).
9. Food & Wine Gift Cards
Disney often puts out special gift cards themed for the Food & Wine festival yearly. Disney Gift Cards can be activated with as little as $15 and can be used for most things Disney, including Global Marketplaces. Look for ones coming on a wristband for easy access!
10. Annual Passholder Gifts
Be sure to check for Annual Passholder Gifts for visiting the Festival once or multiple times. In 2018, Annual Passholders were offered a complimentary magnet and wood cutting board.
Guests will also find Culinary presentations, Seminars at an additional cost and more at the Food and Wine Festival.
