Add some romance to your Disney vacation with these tips on which Resort to choose, where to eat and what to do. There are many possibilities for a romantic Disney World vacation. Disney world is a great choice for a honeymoon or anniversary trip.
Resort
For a romantic Disney vacation, I recommend not staying at a Value Resort. They tend to be loud and bright with over the top Disney details (great for children but not for romance). While moderate and deluxe resorts are generally more relaxing with subtle Disney touches and elegant décor.
Recommended Moderate Resort: Port Orleans – French Quarter
This resort is small (on Disney Resort standards) and quaint. Plus, the amenities of Port Orleans – Riverside are just next door. Port Orleans – Riverside offers Horse Drawn Carriage rides. Plus from either Port Orleans Resort, enjoy a complimentary boat ride to Disney Springs.
Recommended Deluxe Resort: Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Choosing this Resort means the Magic Kingdom is just a monorail ride away. This grounds of this Victorian-themed hotel are breathtaking, from the architecture and landscaping. The walkways of this Resort are perfect for an evening stroll and Watch the Electrical Water Pageant.
Dining
Choosing the perfect dining location for your romantic night out is a must. There are variations on taste, experiences and price to consider. Here are my top picks:
California Grill
California Grill is found at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Meaning no park ticket is needed to enjoy, plus see the fireworks show from Magic Kingdom in distance, restaurant pipes in music during show. Price ranges from $35-$59.99 per adult.
The BOATHOUSE: Great Food, Waterfront Dining, Dream Boats
The Boathouse is located at Disney Springs, The Landing. For a relaxing Fine dining experience with many Seafood and Steak options, and water views. Cost averages $15 to $34.99 per adult entrée.
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant
Find Tony’s Town Square Restaurant on Main St USA at Magic Kingdom. This elegant Italian restaurant is based on Disney’s Lady and the Tramp. Share a spaghetti & meatballs and relive the first kiss scene from the 1955 animated classic.
Things To Do
- Play carnival-style games on Disney’s Boardwalk and win your significant other a prize. This area is also great for an evening stroll and offers shopping and dining.
- Find a Photo Booth, plus if you purchased Memory Maker they are included!
- See a move at AMC in Disney Springs. Disney Springs also offers bowling and many dining and shopping locations.
- Watch Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom.
- Walk around the World at the World Showcase, found in Epcot featuring 11 countries.
- If bars are your thing, consider these Top 3 Bars at Disney World.
