I just got an app notification on My Disney Experience to kindly remind me that Disney World remains closed, but also to reinforce the fact that Disney Springs has not reopened.
“Walt Disney World Resort will remain closed until further notice which still includes Disney Springs being closed for all Guests at this time.”
Florida is beginning Phase 1 reopening on Monday, May 4th, which includes restaurant and retail establishments. This notice likely means Disney Springs will not be attempting to reopen next week.
We know a few other things right now:
My friend was traveling May 24th – 26th and Disney emailed her cancelling her Fastpasses and dining reservations.
Park hours have been removed from the website through May 23rd.
Cancellation notification emails have been sent for the Disney Villains After Hours party set to take place on July 6th (although this doesn’t necessarily mean the park will be closed).
So now we wait and see.
