What You Need To Know About Disney Genie Service

Launch Date

Disney Genie service launches on October 19th at Walt Disney World. Find your new digital best friend, Disney Genie Service, in the My Disney Experience app. Disneyland will also be getting Disney Genie service, accessed through the current Disneyland App, at a later date.

Disney Genie Service Costs Nothing

Disney Genie service is FREE. This complimentary service has many digital tools to enhance your Disney vacation. These include customized itineraries, based on what you like, real-time tips & updates, experience recommendations, help with navigating the parks and making reservations.

With Disney Genie there are thousands of possible itineraries at your fingertips. The goals of the service are to reduce wait times for guests, recommend experiences you will enjoy and build around your existing plans. If your plan changes, Disney Genie will continue to update your itinerary throughout the day!

Disney Genie+ Cost & Lightning Lane Selections

Disney confirmed that FASTPASS, FastPass+ & Disney MaxPass Services Retiring At Disney World & Disneyland Resort. Standby queue at attractions and the virtual queue for attractions will remain. Disability Access Service (DAS) program will also see enhancements. October 19th marks the debut of FastPass replacement, named the Lightning Lane entrance at Disney World.

The Lightning Lane Entrance with Disney Genie+ costs $15 per ticket/per day at Disney World (and $20 per ticket/per day at Disneyland Resort). Guests will then gain access to the Lightning Lane entrance, choose your time to arrive from 40+ attractions at Disney World with one selection at a time starting at 7am and until park close. Once your selection is redeemed, guests are eligible to make another selection for the Lightning Lane entrance.

Individual Lightning Lane Selections & Cost Examples

Guests also have the option of Individual attraction selection for purchase. Guests will be able to pick up to 2 attractions a day from a list of attractions with typically long wait times to use the Lightning Lane entrance for. Pricing will vary by attraction, date and park. For example on pricing, on launch date Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be $15 per person, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be $9 per person Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain will be $7 per person.
