Is it $49 per person or for a couple?
We did this during our trip in May 2013. We would do it again but it isn’t because it was a great value. It is nice to have reserved seating and not fight the crowds to get a good viewing of the fireworks. The view of the fireworks was amazing! There is a Photopass photographer so you can get pictures with the castle while you wait. The desserts were delicious but it wasn’t anything that you couldn’t get somewhere else. If you want to see the parade this probably isn’t a good option but there wasn’t a parade the night we did it so it worked out.
We did this last month on our trip but was not impressed. Dessert was stuff from your resort diner basically and you have to miss the parade in order to get to your reservation unless your super good at running through large crowds. More stressful than was worth we thought. We usually find great seats in Frontierland for the parade and work our way up to wishes view. Way better plan in order to see parade and fireworks.
Do you know if you can use the Disney Dining plan for this?
Hi Dawn, Unfortunately you cannot use the Disney Dining plan at the Dessert Party :(
We did it and it was worth every penny. We sailed by the folks all camped out on main street(and hour before the fireworks!), enjoyed our buffet, and had great seats for the fireworks. The family favorite was chocolate covered strawberries!
Just wondering, does Disney have a rate for diabetics who can’t eat a dessert buffet? I know they accommodate a lot of disabilities
Hi Db, Unfortunately Disney does not offer a rate for diabetics who can’t eat the desserts, but they do accommodate most special dietary needs. You would just need to indicate any dietary needs at the time of booking. I’m sure if you call Disney they would be able to let you know for sure if they would be able to provide some sugar-free options for you. I hope this helped :)
