During the long closure of 2020, my husband and I talked frequently about dining at Disney and the places we wished we could eat. We decided that we would officially reset our restaurant count back to zero and attempt to eat at all of the restaurants at Walt Disney World…. a bucket list challenge.
On the opening day of Disney Springs, we decided on lunch at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill. Our first restaurant back would be one that we have never experienced before.
I have always been a fan of Wolfgang Puck. The restaurant menu looked appealing and they were accepting online reservations through Open Table. Plus it was located near the Orange Garage which means we could make a quick exit when lunch was over.
Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill is themed to be a laid-back California dining experience with a modern take on the Bar & Grill and features classic dishes that made Wolfgang Puck a pioneer in California cuisine. It also serves up a variety of handcrafted speciality cocktails.
The pizza kitchen is located near the entrance to the restaurant and features a variety of portraits that showcase the fresh ingredients that the restaurant uses.
The restaurant features exposed beams, comfortable and welcoming red leather and an abundance of wood decor. The front of the restaurant has huge windows that let in a ton of natural light.
Due to the closure, they were serving a limited menu that featured many of the restaurants most popular offerings.
We opted for an appetizer of Brushetta. I have always been a fan of this appetizer. Bread and tomatoes? Yes please! And it didn’t disappoint. It was more than enough to share between 4 people (we met up with Allison of Destinations in Florida) for lunch.
Doesn’t it look delicious? The torn mozzarella and the pesto aïoli just oozed in your mouth.
Choosing the lunch entree was more challenging. We kept going back and forth over the best options.
I decided on the Salmon Burger that was served with sweet potato fries. It was a beautiful presentation but I had never had a Salmon burger before…. even though I am a huge fan of Salmon. I found it a bit dry but tasty nonetheless. I really enjoyed the brioche bun. I love that bread…
Jason opted for the WP Beef Burger and it oozed with deliciousness. It had a bacon-onion jam which sounds kind of odd but it really works. The fries were also crispy and just the right amount of salt.
Allison decided on the oven-roasted half chicken. Look at those portions. And it comes with honey butter which is always good.
Wolfgang Puck is know for his pizzas and how yummy they are. The entire pepperoni pizza was devoured, crust and all.
We were very satisfied with our lunch option for our first day back since the closure. We will definitely be back when they are serving their full menu again.
Be sure to follow along as we attempt to accomplish our Restaurant Bucket List!
