At around 5pm, the wait was 90 minutes at Christmas time and they were out of fast pass distributions sadly!! Sounds like they really need to do something about the wait time.
We got lucky….we got fastpasses at 930 am for 6pm…well could not come back then since we had to see fantasmic. So we got in a over hr wait line at around 3pm. Well only in line for 5 min and a woman asks me how many in our group. I said 3 and she handed me 3 fastpasses for right then!!!! We got out of the hr or longer line and walked all the way to the front in 5 min. It was amazing and one of our best Disney magic stories of our last trip
We were there at the end of November, and the wait times were 70 mins. We decided right after the Fantasmic show, we hurried up over to the ride. We waited less then 20 mins. It was a fun ride, and anytime we walked past it the fast pass was done.
The best way to ride Toy Story is to get the fast pass as soon as the park opens. We alway split up and 2 of us go straight to the fast pass with all of our tickets. Otherwise, by 11:00 or 12:00 all the fast passes are sold out for the day.
This ride was my son’s favorite! It was really fun. I would have liked to ride it again but the wait was 70 minutes. We used our fastpass and after proving a point were able to do a rider switch as well (we asked for a rider switch pass but were told from cast member rider switch was not available for this ride and that our baby [who was sleeping in a carseat] could ride). Obviously once we saw the car we knew the carseat would not work out (and we found out it is alot of spinning & jerking anyway).
We love TSM. It is a bit like the BuzzLightyear’s Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom. You get in the car, put on your glasses, and take aim at various things with a carnival type theme. The ride is well themed and so much fun for all ages. It is worth the wait.:)
We were there on Wednesday and rode it twice. One time the wait was 60 minutes the other time 76 minutes. Each time we waited on longer than 30 minutes. Not sure what the deal was.

Love this ride and without Fastpass it is a real time line spender. We stood in line 45 minutes our first night at the park but it was worth it!

Love this ride! Hope to get FassPasses and then hop on next time we go!

Such a fun ride!
We love riding Toy Story! We always compete to see who scores the highest.
It’s a 4D experience ride, where you use a shooter to play carnival type games. It is one of my favorite rides.
This is a great idea!
You show some of us new things every trip, Thanks.
Thanks for all the tips I need all the help I can get for my trip.
Can’t wait to ride that one!

That looks fun! What type of ride is it exactly?
I love fast pass! I have yet to see this ride! Have fun
