When you have squeezed out all of the product you possibly could out of the tube/bottle/etc, cut it open and you will be surprised how much is actually left in the package!

Good idea! Also, for soaps, detergents, etc., I always add a bit of water and shake it up when it gets very low. It’s a good way to get that last bit out.

I ALWAYS cut open my lotion bottles…the tall ones with the pump. Learned it from my mom. There is at least an inch to 2 inches of lotion left in there. Just make sure you cover it up with foil in between uses or you’ll have a dusty hard layer on top :p

Be VERY CAREFUL when doing this! I ended up in the emergency room after just such an attempt. Came very close to permanantly damaging my hand by cutting the web between my thumb and forefinger when the knife slipped. The co pay and ER expenses were way more than I would have saved from whatever was left in that tube!
