Our favorite freezer cooking tips are:
1 – If you are going to make a meatloaf, you should triple or quadruple the recipe and make 2 loaves and a bunch of meatballs. We always use our meatloaf recipe to make meatballs and they turn out amazing! Using an ice cream scoop to make the balls, it’s crazy how much food you can make in such a little amount of time with so few dirty dishes!
2 – If you are going to cook with shredded, cooked chicken, put it in the crock pot with about half a cup of water on low over night and you won’t have to waste time or energy (yours or the stoves) browning and cutting it up the next day. It just falls apart straight out of the crock pot.

I make mongolian chicken a lot and I make so much I have to freeze the sauce. It’s actually better after it’s frozen. I also freeze soups, chili, meatballs, chicken casserole. Anything I can double up and freeze for a while.

LOVE pulling a frozen meal out of the freezer. But in my house I have to freeze it first because otherwise there isn’t enough left for a meal and portion control goes out the window because they think that dish is a 1 meal portion not 2…
