This tip comes from my reader Shirley…
Just the other day I needed to clean a spoon with silver polish and found I didnt have any. I thought to my self I remember once seeing a thing on using baking soda on aluminum in water… So I just took the baking soda as a paste with my soft cloth and was able to polish the spoon just like if it was the store bought silver polish I didn’t have any of. I was so thrilled I wanted to share with someone and am glad you asked for things like this today. :-)

Thanks for those 2 tips-(the Baking soda & Toothpaste) for polishing silver.I have a set of Large Servers-Spoon & Fork, to polish,& I refuse to pay for Silver polish! I only have a few other silver things, so it wouldn’t be smart to buy it when I can get tips on what to use from this site. This is my 1st time here & Hurray-I got what I needed on the 1st try! Thanks again & happy Saving. : )

I refuse to pay for fabric refresher so I mix fabric softner with water (half and half) and put it in a spray bottle and squirt. Love the Gain Apple Mango Tango.
