Apple slices are difficult to pack in lunches because the brown so quickly. Here’s a great idea to keep them from browning until you’re ready to eat them! All you need is a rubber band!
Slice completely through the apple on one side as close to the core as you can get. Then make the same cut on every side. The gather the pieces together to form an apple again. Secure with a rubber band until ready to eat!

You could even keep your apple slices chopped up and then add a little bit of orange juice into the bag. The acidity is supposed to keep them from browning.
