Most good travel agents will go ahead and check the discounts for you and then contact you with the savings. You should not have to do the legwork, that is part of our job to always watch out for the best deal for our guests.
If you think your travel agent will not update your reservation to a new discount, you may want to contact them first. Remember, just because a new discount came available, it does not mean it will be a better deal. Usually the first discount that comes out will be the better savings.
Starla says
Thank you Allison, I will try contacting my agent.
Have a blessed weekend.

I already have a week booked for Sept.16-21 with the free dining, but I upgraded. Now I see that you posted for the value resorts it is 20% off rates, I wonder if I would get a refund on what I’ve paid for the difference? Anyone know? I booked through 3D Travel, maybe I should call them or Disney directly? I used my Disney visa.
karen says
ooh im thinking about going there for a short weekend for our 3rd anniversary. if we tell them that would they do anything special? I talked to kimberly from the travel agency $5 dinner recommended and the rates I was being quoted was about 2K which seems a little high.
Allison Jones says
You can call us at 877-918-8941 or visit us online. If $2,000 is outside your budget, we can certainly help you find a package that fits your plans. Unlike other travel agencies, we are locally based in Orlando. We can help you find a resort that fits your budget.
Amber says
Do you know if you have to purchase a parks pass, too to get dining plan? Or can it be just the room?
Allison Jones says
Yes, you have to book a package with room and tickets. The dining them comes along for free!
Bonnie says
I can’t find the free dining deal for cardholders on Disney’s website. Where is this deal available and how do you book it? I looked at the Specials page where I normally find the free dining plan info when it is being offered.
CW says
Is there a required length of stay…can you go through the disneygo site to make new reservations to get the discount?
Alexis says
Why does there not seem to be any deals for Disneyland? I see them for Disney World and for the Cruise Line, even occasionally the Hawaiian resort – but Disneyland doesn’t seem to have any deals.
Does anyone know of any deals for Disneyland trips? Do the Disney World deals apply to Disneyland as well?
Thanks!
Kristin from Couponing to Disney says
The Disney World deals do not apply to Disneyland. There aren’t any deals out right now for DL because of the new Cars Land.
Alexis says
:( Bummer. Thanks for the info!
Melissa Fontes says
Yea! I just added my free dining to my plan! I have been watching for a code!! Thanks for keeping us updated!
brandi says
can i use free dining if i am staying at shade of green and a visa cardholder?
Kate says
brandi, i don’t think so. SOG is on disney property, but isn’t a disney resort. we looked into staying there january 2012, but opted for pop so we could take advantage of the free dining offer that came out.
Allison Jones says
Unfortunately, the free dining promotion is only for guests staying at a Disney World Resort. Shades of Green is the military resort and not part of the Disney Resort chain, even though it is at Disney World.
Amber says
The dates mentioned above for free dining program is for next year or for remainder of this year?
Kristin of Couponing to Disney says
Those are for 2012
