Reader Kandi shared a tip that we’ve probably all done before without realizing what a great way to save it is!
My tip is to network! If there is an item you need, ask around! A lot of times if I need something, I just ask a few people, and they ask people they know. You can save a lot of money by acquiring the item second hand this way. Also, if you have items to give or sell cheap, this works too!
You know the saying, one person’s trash is another person’s treasure! If you find yourself in need of something, chances are someone has that item sitting around collecting dust that they would let you borrow or have for cheap or free. Always ask before you buy a brand new item.
Don’t forget, I’m always looking for your best money saving tip, so please share!

I was recently told that our local propane providers (most of them) offer a discount to teachers. So, being a teacher, I made the call and asked. Sure enough, they offered it, and I signed up. My only regret is not knowing this SOONER. I have been living here 8 years. But, I’ll take it.

I recently “advertised” on facebook that I had a double stroller for sale. I really didn’t think anyone would buy it, but I gave it a shot because I might possibly be able to sell it for more than the resale shop would give me. I sold it for $100 the first time I posted it and I wouldn’t have gotten more than $50 from the resale shop I go to.
