Update: Cirque Du Soleil is slated to close at the end of December 2017.
La Nouba is the exclusive Cirque du Soleil show at Walt Disney World Resort. The show allows your imagination to run wild as dreams and nightmares intertwine. La Nouba lets the audience channel their childhood dreams by entering a place where the extraordinary overcomes the ordinary.
As with other Cirque du Soleil shows, La Nouba never ceases to wow the audience through amazing acrobatics, colorful costumes, dramatic lighting, extraordinary tricks, stunning choreography, and hands down the best Cirque du Soleil music I’ve ever heard! In my opinion, the soundtrack is a cross between jazz, circus music, and contemporary sounds. The official description from Cirque du Soleil is that the music is a youthful mix of urban sounds, hip-hop and electronica blended with the classic sound of Cirque du Soleil. The score also features a jazz-style trumpet in order to combine more traditional sounds with modern arrangements. The soundtrack to this show is a MUST-HAVE! Music was composed by Benoit Jutras, the composer of “O” at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
My favorite part of La Nouba are the young female performers using the Diabolos, something I have yet to see in any other Cirque du Soleil show. To date, I’ve seen “O”, “KA”, and “Love” in Las Vegas as well as “Wintuk” in NYC. La Nouba is still my favorite Cirque du Soleil show out of all of them.
La Nouba performances are held Tuesday-Sunday at 6pm and 9pm at the Cirque du Soleil Theater at Disney Springs West Side. Tickets may be reserved up to 6 months in advance AND they can easily be added on to any Magic Your Way package.
