There is so much to do and see on a Walt Disney World vacation, it can feel overwhelming. Guests will not accomplish everything, meaning another vacation will be in order! However, here are 10 things Not to miss on your next Disney vacation, including many amazing facts.
1. Floating Mountains
Visit Pandora – World of Avatar at Animal Kingdom and guests are transported to the Valley of Mo’ara. Gaze at the incredible floating mountains overhead. Then ride of the back of a banshee on Avatar- Flight of Passage.
2. Magic Carpets of Aladdin Camel
Walk your group by the Magic Carpets of Aladdin in Magic Kingdom and they will be in for a surprise! The Camel outside of this attraction has a secret, he “spits” water at unsuspecting guests walking by. It makes for a great laugh.
3. Tree of Life
The Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom stands at 145 feet tall and features over 300 animal carvings. The details are magnificent and not to be missed.
4. Dole Whip
Treating yourself to a Dole Whip is a must do for many at Disney World. Learn where to find a Dole Whip at Disney World, including without a Park ticket.
5. Reverse Fountain
This waterfall at Epcot defies gravity. Be sure to visit the Reverse waterfall fountain in Future World, outside of Journey Into Imagination With Figment, where the water flows up instead of down!
6. Presidential Seal
Disney World is in procession of an authentic Presidential Seal, which had to be approved by Congress. Find this located in the Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom. Only 2 others exist in the world, at the hall of the Liberty Bell and inside the Oval Office.
7. Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party
Gather around Cinderella’s Castle for a street party featuring your favorite characters on giant gift box floats, such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Woody and Jessie and more. The party occurs throughout the day, check the times guide during your visit, and lasts 35 minutes. Standing still is not encouraged!
8. Kilimanjaro Safaris
Kilimanjaro Safaris is your chance to ride through an African savanna on Disney property, home to over 34 different animal species. Have your cameras ready and enjoy this 18-minute ride on a safari vehicle.
9. Walt Disney Presents
At Hollywood Studios, step into a museum type attraction named Walt Disney Presents. See vintage props, models built by Walt Disney himself and sneak peaks of upcoming attractions. Above is a model of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge coming Summer 2019. This self guided tour is an incredible display of the past, present and future of Disney World.
10. Main St USA at Night
Seeing Cinderella’s Castle is magical any time of day, realizing you have made it back “home”. However, there is something special about walking down Main St USA at Magic Kingdom in the evening when all the lights appear on the buildings. Take time to stroll Main St USA and take in all the extra lighting.
