If you love Epcot, than staying at in the Epcot Resort Area makes sense. As a bonus, Hollywood Studios is very close as well. To decide which Epcot Area Resort is the best at Disney, first learn more about each.
Disney’s Beach & Yacht Club Resort
The Beach & Yacht Club Resorts are inspired by New England style. It is just a short walk to Epcot, depending on your pace, past guests have walked as quickly as 5 minutes. With Hollywood Studios being a 15-20 walk (past guests prefer to take a Friendship Boat for this one).
- Starting At: $401/night
- Dining: Ale & Compass, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Cape May CafĂ©, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, Crew’s Cup Lounge, Martha’s Vineyard, Beach Club Marketplace and Hurricane Henna’s Waterside Bar & Grill.
- Unique Feature: Outdoor Water Recreation area – discover Stormalong Bay (a 3-acre water wonderland) featuring a life-size shipwreck, pools and lagoons.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas
Find this waterfront resort along Disney’s Boardwalk, a shopping and dining location with nightly entertainment. Plus, this resort is just a short walk to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios and centrally located in between both.
- Starting At: $439/night
- Dining: Flying Fish, Big River Grille & Brewing Works, ESN Club, Trattoria Al Forno, Boardwalk Bakery and much more.
- Unique Feature: Luna Park Pool – feautring a carnival theme, complete with a Clown and the Keister Coaster waterslide.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
This resort is inspired by a tropical paradise, surround Barefoot Bay, complete with white-sand beaches, palm trees, hammocks and colonial architecture. Al though there are no pathways to Epcot, Illuminations can be seen from this resort. This is the only Epcot Resort not located at the Boardwalk area, therefore no walking to Epcot.
- Starting At: $204/night
- Dining: Spyglass Grill, Island Markets and more.
- Unique Feature: Zero-entry Pool – which has water cannons and 2 slides for guests (one is an 82-foot trip down!). Little ones (under 48″) will love the shipwreck play area.
Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel & Walt Disney World Swan Hotel
These resorts are the only on property not actually owned or operated by Disney World, instead being managed by Sheraton Hotels. Both offer pathways to Epcot & Hollywood Studios.
- Starting At: $274/night, these hotels may be better booked through Sheraton Hotels vs. Disney World site for best prices.
- Unique Feature: Tropical Paradise – discover and relax at the 3-acre paradise containing rock caves, beautiful landscaping, a waterfall, a slide for guests and 4 whirlpools.
What is the best Epcot Area Resort?
If walking to the parks is not important to you than Caribbean Beach Resort wins for price, plus it can accommodate groups up to 5 (select rooms). Otherwise, I would choose Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, guests have walkability to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios plus prime proximity to Disney’s Boardwalk with its shopping, dining and entertainment.
Thanks, Sara
