Day and night at Disney World are each a unique experience at Disney Parks. When the sun goes down, extra lights appear and Disney has a glow. Below are 10 Incredible evening experiences not to miss at Disney World.
1. Hollywood Boulevard
Walk down Hollywood Boulevard in the evening at Hollywood Studios for a beautiful evening stroll amongst the lights. Plus, on select nights look towards the Chinese Theatre to watch the parks evening entertainment and fireworks show – Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.
2. Rivers of Light
Rivers of Light occurs each evening at Animal Kingdom. It is Fastpass+ eligible or consider the Rivers of Light dining package. Guests will experience live performers, floating lanterns, water screens and swirling animal imagery.
3. Astro Orbiter
Levitate above Tomorrowland in your own spacecraft, guests will board an elevator to get to the rooftop attraction. Then, soar among the planets on Astro Orbiter which is intensified in the evening. Watch the spectacular view from this video on Point-of-view from Astro Orbiter.
4. Fountains on Main Street
Just beyond the hub area of Main St USA, find 2 beautiful water fountains (one on each side) which glow in the evening. Stop here for the picture evening picture spot.
5. Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
This 10-minute birds-eye tour around Tomorrowland not only features great views, but behind-the-scenes looks as well. Have your camera ready as you see Cinderella’s Castle. Also you will see an early concept model for Epcot, an exclusive look at Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Mickey’s Star Traders retail shop. A great nighttime attraction to see all the lights of Tomorrowland.
6. The Tree of Life Awakens
When night falls on Animal Kingdom, look to the Tree of Life to behold in a whole new way. The Tree of Life Awakens occurs about every 10 minutes from dark to park closing. See the Tree of life transform with light into beautiful colors and animal spirits of the tree are brought to “light” by magical fireflies.
7. Go Swimming
Swim under the lights of your Resort pool. Most evenings Disney pools have lifeguards on site until 10pm with pools closing at 11pm. Check for pools hours posted at your resort pool. Which means, Disney resort pools are open until a generous time, take advantage of the evening hours to swim. Plus, Disney Resort pools are heated for guests comfort!
8. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth
This nighttime (weather permitting) Fireworks show takes place in Epcot at 9pm. It is a beautiful performance around the World Showcase lagoon. This fireworks show tells the story of our planet from when the Earth is Born, through the Triumph of Life and finally the Hope for the Future.
9. Happily Ever After
This nighttime fireworks spectacular at Magic Kingdom debuted in 2017. Watch as your favorite Disney Stories are retold with Cinderella’s Castle as the backdrop, it is a must see!
10. Disney Springs
Walk around Disney Springs and enjoy its nightly entertainment, with often live music playing from various vendors. Look to Rainforest Café for a Volcano erupting. Plus, Disney Springs is open late into the night with some locations open until midnight or later. Guests can enjoy Disney Springs long after the parks close (generally).
