Yes, Disney vacations are expensive. However, once at Disney (especially if staying on site) and with your park tickets there is much to do that is included. Here are 7 memorable things my family did for free at Disney World!
Boat Ride to Disney Springs
Select Disney Resorts, such as the Port Orleans Riverside & French Quarter Resorts, offer complimentary boat rides to Disney Springs. These water taxi rides are scenic and relaxing. Time it right and catch the sunset for a gorgeous view! I snapped this photo as we were pulling into the dock at Disney Springs. The horizon view over the water is just gorgeous.
Stopped For A Christmas Photo
Find Days of Christmas at Disney Springs, it is Christmas all year long as this shop! Stop in to listen to Christmas music, shop Christmas ornaments and decor. I always pick up an ornament with the year from each trip. Outside of this retail store find a Christmas scene, perfect to use for a Christmas card photo!
Played 18-Holes Of Mini-Golf
With your Disney Resort package, look for your complimentary vouchers for a Free game of mini-golf, one per guest on reservation. I loved the theming of Disney’s Winter Summerland courses! It is easy to get to as well, simply take a bus to Blizzard Beach and the miniature golf courses are outside the entrance.
Ride The Monorail
Not an attraction, however certainly a fun ride is time spent on the Monorail! Find a good seat and enjoy the views as we did!
Went for a Swim or 10
The Disney parks are amazing, however my kids were just as happy to be at the pool swimming. We enjoyed many swim breaks during our vacation! Each Disney Resort has at least one pool, each with different amazing theming as Disney does so well!
Epcot Festival & Concert
Epcot has 4 yearly festivals: Festival of the Arts, Flower & Garden, Food & Wine and Festival of the Holidays. Each brings entertainment to the America Gardens theatre. Festival of the Holidays brings the Candlelight Prosessional and the other 3 brings popular artists from many genres. Even sweeter, the Festivals and shows are included with your ticket to Epcot! The photo above is from the Garden Rocks series.
Stop to play the Drums
Have some fun at Disney parks and stop to play the drums! Who can resist banging on a drum when walking by? It is fun for children and adults. The photo above is from the Outpost area at Epcot. However, guests can also play drums in queue for Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and in Pandora – World of Avatar.
Thanks, Sara!
