Recently we discussed the Best Times To Visit Disney World In 2020. Today, we are back with the Worst times to visit Disney World in 2020!
Do note, if you plan on going during any of these times do not be discouraged. Instead, go with a plan and 5 Ways To Avoid Crowds At Walt Disney World and your stay can still be magical.
Late February
We have Presidents Day February 17th, therefore that long weekend will be busier than normal. Plus, Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend occurring Feb. 20-23 will attract runners and spectators. On top of this many school vacations start late February.
March
Once March hits, Spring Break is in full swing. Mid-March will be the busiest when many schools are on Spring Break.
Mid-April
Easter Weekend & Easter Day, April 12th will be a heavy crowd time at Disney World. We will also see a spike in crowds the following weekend, April 16th-19th, for the Star Wars Rival Run race weekend.
Memorial Day Weekend
While the crowds are light to moderate for most of May, one busy weekend to avoid is Memorial Day Weekend. For 2020, the dates are May 23-25th, the unofficial kickoff to summer will draw guests.
Summer
Crowds will increase in the parks as schools are released for Summer vacation. This begins end of May through beginning of August.
Heading to Disney World in June & July? Besides more crowds you can expect HOT weather and more rain. Read the Weather Guide by month to learn more.
One day you will want to avoid all together crowd-wise is the 4th of July, when Magic Kingdom can reach capacity before the mid-day is over.
Hurricane Season
Hurricane Season for Florida begins on June 1st, running through November 30th. However peak Hurricane season is typically August through October. If you are traveling during peak hurricane season, I recommend travel insurance just in case.
Labor Day Weekend & Columbus Day Weekend
The long weekends bring the crowds to Disney World, and Labor Day Weekend is no different. Avoid the first weekend in September if you can.
Another long weekend that draws the crowds is Columbus Day Weekend. This year Columbus Day falls on October 12th and you can expect the weekend prior to be busier than normal.
Select Days In November
There are key events in November which make it a busy time to visit. These include the Wine & Dine Half Marathon from November 5th-8th and this coincides with Jersey Days from November 4th-8th. Additionally Thanksgiving Day (+ the day before and days after) will bring extra visitors.
Select Days In December
One week you want to avoid is the week of the Pop Warner Cheerleading Competition, which typically occurs the first week in December. Then, from Christmas Eve through New Years Eve you can expect the crowds to be there!
