I’ve posted before about planning your menu around what is on sale as well as planning it around your pantry contents. The next most important thing to plan your menu around is your coupons.
After making as many meals out of the sale items and pantry contents as you can, it’s time to bring out your coupon box/binder.
The easiest thing I find for my couponing is to keep these coupons that I know I definitely want to use separate from my ‘might use if there is a sale’ coupons. I then organize these coupons by expiration date to make sure they get used before they expire.
::I usually go to this section first and pull coupons for my weekly shopping trip.::
Next I go through the rest of my coupons and add them to my shopping list where I need to. (Usually I don’t have to do this step as the coupons I know I want to use covers everything that I might NEED to buy for the week.)
Then I fill in the holes in my menu by purchasing generic products.
