I want you to learn how to grow your own fund too! If you are new to couponing, start with the Getting Started Couponing Series, followed by the How To Start Your Fund series. Remember you can use these savings principles to save for anything you want from Disney trips to paying off debt to buying a new television. As the great Walt Disney said “If you can dream it, you can do it!”

I like this idea…specifically earmarking savings ,rebates etc. into the disney fund…..I have one I’m calling my ‘travel fund’- just started to keep it,separate from all other finances (separate savings account)
no matter how little extra I have,I add to it weekly! This keeps my spirits up,knowing eventually I’ll get us there again!

I did it, I did it, I proved to myself that you can Coupon to Disney! I saved $2100.00 already and pd. for mine and my son’s trip in September. I was lucky enough to cash in on free dining and upgrade to the 1 QS and 1TS meal plan. Total cost $1800.00 (and some change). I even have enough to start the spending money kitty off. I was able to save this since November 2011. We are so excited to be Ble to go again and not impact the family budget. Thank you for your inspiration an all your tips and hard work to make this possible. :))))

Awesome deposit!!! :)
Kristin, how often do you deposit in your Disney fund? Do you let things build up over a few weeks or a month and then deposit?
We are returning to Disney in September and my husband will be saving for the hotel, tickets and travel expenses; I am saving from my weekly budget (groceries, gas, eating out, etc) for souvenirs and dining and am thinking I want to hold back depositing until the end of the month so the kids can really see how much we have saved! Thoughts?

Isn’t it amazing as to how quickly it adds up!? We started our fund the 2nd week of Jan and I just put in a deposit today and we are only $20 away from the $800 mark. I have done this just by selling my daughter’s clothes that she has outgrown and things around the house. I have about $25 more this week in items I am selling to people and then we are doing a yard sale this weekend. I just wish I could find more of the NBPR’s, we are in one of those lucky states where you don’t need to buy the beer etc, but I can never find them anymore.

Great deposit for the fund! We are saving up for other things at the moment, so currently no fund. I hope to start one later this summer for a 2013 trip! :-)
