If you haven’t followed the blog long, you might not know that we moved in May 2016 from Alabama to Florida to be closer to Disney World. We are no longer couponing to Disney World, but we ARE couponing to Disney Cruises and Disneyland!
Florida residents are able to pay for their annual pass monthly which is an awesome perk. We treat our passes now as a bill from our overall monthly budget instead of something I have to coupon towards. We also have a specific budget each month for food at the parks.
Do you want to learn how you too can Save for Disney? I’ve successfully couponed to 5 completed trips and I am working on my 6th one now! EVERYTHING I have learned is in the Saving for Disney course! I know you can do this too.

$573.84 – Earned on our Disney Visa in between March 2016 and March 2017
$700 – Earned on our American Express over a 2 year period. I was letting it build up as much as possible before I cashed out. To add this to the Disney Fund, I spent this money on stuff for the house and took the cash out of the moving budget and bought Disney gift cards with the cash.
$424.99 earned from TopCashBack (moving is expensive!)
$889.06 left in the Gas Budget between 3/23/16 – 4/11/17. I didn’t change the gas budget from what we had in Alabama. We lived in an apartment for 7 months that was really close to everything (except Disney).
$200 Lowes Rebate on the purchase of 4 appliances. If you are curious, here is a link to my dishwasher, oven, washer and dryer.
I use the money earned above to purchase $2550 worth of gift cards at Sam’s Club for $2464.66. That is a profit of $85.34!
I had a friend purchase me $150 worth of gift cards at HEB in Texas for $105. That is a profit of $45. Unfortunately it didn’t last long enough for me to post it on the blog.
The 2 blue Mickey gift cards are actually empty and from a previous trip. I just thought they looked good in the picture and made his ears look better.
Above is a picture of the gift cards available at Sam’s Club. Target might have been a better deal but we went with Sam’s Club instead.
Also I have my Swagbucks earnings to deposit in a few weeks. I’ve got to make another trip to Sam’s Club before I do. So look for that one soon!
$3,458.00 deposited into the Disney Fund (isn’t that crazy that it is even??). Total saved since September 19th, 2015: $6,547.12
