It is really annoying when you are on vacation and you realize you forgot to pack something you really need. Here are the 10 things not to skip packing for Walt Disney World:
1. Pain medications – You will likely get a headache, stiff joints, sore muscles, etc. Think ahead and pack Motrin/Tylenol so you aren’t stuck paying Disney’s prices. Don’t forget some for your kids too! I like to carry a small travel size bottle with me to the parks.
2. Snacks – Pack a couple of the variety snack packs to eat on in the room and in the parks. Then on your way home, you will already have the space for souvenirs!
3. Ziploc bags – These come in handy for saving food, splitting things like popcorn and protecting your electronics from the weather. Bring a few of each size.
4. A variety of tops – The Florida heat + walking doesn’t always make for a comfortable experience. Bring a variety of tank tops and short sleeve clothing. I recommend short sleeves plus a light jacket in the colder months unless your forecast won’t see over 60 degrees the whole time you are there.
5. Thermometer – You’ll feel a lot better knowing your child’s temperature should they get sick. Also bring basic medications for common ailments like cold, cough, sore stomach, etc.
6. Glow sticks – Skip paying the high price for light up toys that you have to deal with after your kids get tired of them. Instead, pack a variety of glow items. Even better if you can pack enough to share with a few other Guests around you.
7. Chapstick – Don’t forget to protect your lips from the Florida heat! Pack a Chapstick with an SPF added to it.
8. Hamper – Bring a popup hamper (or two) for dirty clothes. It will be so much easier to keep them confined in a hamper than in a pile in the bathroom floor. You could also use a hamper for the kids’ toys or the items you take to the park.
9. Nail file – If you don’t pack it, you will break a nail. If you do pack it, you won’t. So be prepared just in case!
10. Empty suitcase – Bring an extra suitcase for souvenirs. I also don’t think that stuff packs the same productive way as it does at home. On the way down you could always put a smaller suitcase inside a larger suitcase for less luggage.

I agree with all of them. However, for the nail file, it can not be the metal kind, because of TSA. It would have to be an emery board.
