How exciting when the day comes for guests to choose their Fastpass+ selections for Disney! Wondering where to start? Here are my 5 Must Know Tips For Disney Fastpass+ Selection.
1. Write Down Your Top Choices
Have a plan of what your top choices are. Ask everyone in your group what their top must-do attraction is. Fastpass+ is free to use and allows get to pre-determine their top choices with a guaranteed time slot. Here the current 5 Hardest To Get Fastpass+ Options At Disney World.
2. Know The Tiers
Out of the 4 main theme parks, only Magic Kingdom does not use Tiers. The other parks have Fastpass+ split in 2 Tiers, allowing guests to choose 1 Fastpass+ from Tier 1 and up to 2 from Tier 2. Totaling 3 per day in the same park.
Animal Kingdom
Tier 1 – Avatar Flight of Passage or Na’vi River Journey
Tier 2 – Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, Festival of the Lion King, Find Nemo, It’s tough to be a bug, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Meet & Greet at Adventure Outpost, Primeval Whirl or Rivers of Light.
Epcot

3. Be Ready To Book
For guests staying at a Disney World Resort, book 60 days out from arrival date at 7am EST (+ up to 10 days after arrival date). Non-resort guests will want to be ready to book at 30 days out, same time. The earlier booking time for resort guests is a great perk of staying on site.
4. Work Backwards
Everyone with your arrival date will be on their phone or computer trying to book Fastpass+ options alongside you. Therefore, do not begin with your arrival date, instead work backwards. If you want to ride a hard to get Fastpass+ such as Flight of Passage or Frozen Ever After, I suggest booking these towards the end of your trip since there will be less competition.
5. Don’t Give Up
Even if you follow all these tips, you may still not be able to get every Fastpass+ selection you hoped for. This is OK, do not give up. Cancellations happen all the time, keep checking and your never know when it will be your lucky day!
