Should I or should I not take my baby to Disney World? For first time parents this question comes up, for parents who already have children there is less of a choice. Either way, the answer is Yes, take your baby, infant, toddler to Disney World! It is truly a destination for all ages. Here are 5 reasons you SHOULD take the baby to Disney World.
1. Making Memories
Naysayers will proclaim, the little one won’t remember it so its a waste of money. The infant or young child may not remember it, however you will. In the moment, smiles and laughter is shared, making it worth it. Furthermore, family bonding time with no work or other distractions is amazing.
2. Meeting Characters
There is something adorable about the smallest guests meeting Mickey Mouse and more. Plus, pictures of a little ones delight or wonder in meeting their favorite character is priceless. Character meet & greets and more opportunities with a PhotoPass photographer make for great family photos! For shy children, consider a Character meal for a more relaxed meet & greet situation. 3. Baby Care Center
Each Disney park is equipped with a Baby Care Center. This is the perfect place to duck away from the crowds and the hectic park for a break. Feed, change diapers or just relax in the center. Guests will find a kitchen area with a microwave, sink and more conveniences. Also if you have forgotten something, typical baby needs are available for purchase. This is a great safe haven to know about.
4. No Minimum Height Attractions & Rider Swap
Bring the youngest of the family on many attractions along with everyone else. This is because Disney World offers many rides with no minimum height requirement. This means, similar to Ohana, everyone can ride and no one is left out!
- At Magic Kingdom enjoy classic rides such as Dumbo, it’s a small world, Peter Pan’s Flight and more.
- In Epcot, take a relaxing boat ride Living with the Land or travel through time on Spaceship Earth and more.
- Hop on over to Hollywood Studios for Toy Story Mania! or enjoy a show such as Beauty and the Beast – Live On Stage and more.
- In Animal Kingdom guests of all ages can enjoy the Na’Vi River Journey in Pandora and more throughout the park.
Furthermore, Disney World has a system in place known as Rider swap or Rider switch. This allows those in a family to wait with the child who doesn’t meet the Height requirement or is scared to ride, while the others ride. Then, the guest who waited can wait or get a return time (depends on attraction) to ride without having to wait in line again.
5. First Haircut
Harmony Barber Shop on Main St USA at Magic Kingdom offers the My First Haircut Package, especially for little ones getting their first haircut. My First Haircut Package costs $25 and price includes: the haircut, a certificate and commemorative Mickey Ears! Learn more about this hidden gem at Disney World.
