Here is your Animal Kingdom plan for 4-6 year olds. There is a lot to see and do at Animal Kingdom, and it is not like your zoo back home. I think your kids will love it as much as my kids do!
Dining Reservation: Tusker House for 1 pm
Fastpass+ Reservations:
- Kilimanjaro Safaris 11:30-12:30
- Expedition Everest 3-4 pm
- Kali River Rapids 4-5 pm (if it is hot when you travel)
My Plan Includes:
- Arrive at Animal Kingdom at least 30 minutes before the gates open
- Grab your Times Guide and map of the animals
- Head to DinoLand and ride Primeval Whirl (if your kids are into roller coasters; If they love it, go again!)
- Ride Dinosaur (this ride could be a little scary for kids, watch a Youtube video first to see if they would like it)
- Ride Triceratop Spin 2-3 times
- Meet Mickey and Minnie at Adventurers Outpost
- Head back to Africa for the 10:30 am performance of The Lion King Show (just arrive about 15 minutes before the show starts and you’ll get a seat)
- Get a Dole Whip (or other snack) from Tamu Tamu
- Visit the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail and stop at the first Wilderness Explorer guide you see to get a book and complete the task. Visit any guides you see from this point forward.
- Use your Fastpass+ for Kilimanjaro Safaris (there are a couple Wilderness Explorer task on this attraction. Be sure to mark through each badge you have already earned on the map to make it easy to reference what else you need. There are over 40 stations!)
- Arrive at Tusker House at 1:00 pm for lunch with Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Daisy
- Take the path to Asia and complete badges along the way
- Arrive for the 2:45 showing of Up! A Great Bird Adventure
- Use your Fastpass+ for Expedition Everest for 3-4 pm
- Visit Maharajah Jungle Trek to complete the badge there
- Use your Fastpass+ for Kali River Rapids (don’t forget to use the free lockers to store your valuables) or choose to use this Fastpass+ selection for Na’vi River Journey instead.
.
If the park is closing at 5 pm on the day of your visit, make your way to the exit now completing any badges you pass along the way
If the park is open later, visit The Boneyard to complete the badges there and let your child play for 30 minutes.
You might also be able to squeeze in some character meet and greets along the way. Animal Kingdom usually has short waits for characters. Just judge each line you see and if it 10 families or less, get in line.
If you have a 1-3 year old, here is their Animal Kingdom plan!
