If you are looking for more than just a t-shirt or hat souvenir from Walt Disney World, one of my favorite places is Arribas Brothers. They make hand blown glass masterpieces, right on site.
It started in 1964 with two brothers, Alfonso and Tomas Arribas. Having mastered the 100-year old family business of glass blowing and cutting, took their skill to the 1964 World’s Fair to represent Spain. There met Walt Disney and a new partnership was formed.
In 1967 the Arribas brothers started creating magic inside a tiny shop in Sleeping Beauty’s Castle and Disneyland. Now, almost 50 years later they are in 19 Disney park locations around the world. They have expanded past just glass blowing into glass etching, laser engraving, figurines with Swarovski crystals, personalizable wooden keepsakes and even live demonstrations.
You can watch one of their brilliant and talented artists right on Main Street at Walt Disney World create a masterpiece that will be sold in that store. If you do purchase some thing on site, don’t worry, they will ship to your house. I have personally purchased a beautiful, hand blown Minnie Mouse inspired vase that makes me smile every time I use it.
If you are not going to the parks any time soon, you can purchase some of their crafts online at Disney Store Online.
