Christmas time at Disneyland Resort is absolutely breathtaking.
Our first stop was Disney’s California Adventure to check out Cars Land! We had not been yet and my son was so excited. We all enjoyed how true to the movie the décor was and the rides were awesome! We especially enjoyed Radiator Springs! If you are going to DCA during the holidays I HIGHLY suggest going straight to Radiator Springs to grab a fast pass, they fill up very quickly! The wait can be very long otherwise, but a fast pass is free! Cars Land was of course all decked out for the holidays with ‘snow’, Christmas lights, trees, and just a whole lot of cuteness!
At Disneyland we enjoyed the holiday magic from the moment we walked in the gate and onto Main Street USA! The decorations are just so beautiful, classic carols can be heard all along the street, and you can smell freshly made waffle cones coming from the ice cream shop! That is all before you even hit one ride!
The kids especially loved the “Christmas Fantasy Parade”! I remember this parade when I worked at Disneyland a few years before our kids and it is just brings back so many fun memories. We especially love how Mickey and Minnie ice skate on one float and how Santa takes the time to point to lots of boys and girls and talks to them directly. So many characters including Princesses to Buzz and Woody make an appearance. It is a very popular parade so it is a good idea to stake out a spot early along the parade route. This is the perfect time to grab a treat and rest your feet!
The Disneyland Resort can be a very crowded place during the holidays, but it is worth it! Keep in mind that they do extend their hours during the holiday season, nearly every ride is open, and they add extra shows that you can only see during the end of the year!
If you are planning to Coupon to Disney anyway – try to plan your trip during the holiday season! It is our favorite time to go for sure!
