Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom Tour Review
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Disney World and wanted to do something special to celebrate since it was just the two of us on this visit. I decided that I would love to try one of the tours inside the parks on this trip (since most require guests to be 16+) and as a lifelong Disney fan, I thought Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom would be the perfect tour!
We chose the 9:30 am tour so that we could catch rope drop before heading into check in at the Chamber of Commerce. We received our name tags, picked out our lunch, and received headsets to be able to hear our guide. The tour was led by a wonderful Guest Services Cast Member who guided us throughout our whole Keys to the Kingdom journey.
The tour begins with Main Street and the details and history hidden there. We then walked through Adventureland with a stop on the world famous Jungle Cruise. We then had the chance to go backstage behind Splash Mountain to see where the parade floats are stored. Afterwards, we headed to the Haunted Mansion to learn the secrets of this ride and even got to use a special entrance. Then, it was time for lunch at Columbia Harbor House, which was included with the cost of the tour. After lunch, we headed down to the long awaited utilidoors underneath the park to see how cast members get around.
I have had some friends tell me that they are afraid to try Keys to the Kingdom because it might ruin the magic for them, but for me, it just made me appreciate the magical details all the more! I learned some secrets about my favorite place in the whole world and also got to learn part of how they make the magic happen. I would highly recommend Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom Tour to anyone 16+!
