Ready to shrink down like a toy to experience this creative land? Getting on these popular attractions can prove to be a little time consuming! Here are some tips on how to maximize your time in Toy Story Land to minimize your wait times:
Get FastPass+ at 60 Days Out
If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you can book your FastPass+ starting 60 days before you arrive. This actually includes your arrival day plus 10 days afterwards. Unfortunately that means everyone arriving the week prior to your vacation has already been able to book on some of your dates! In order to get a coveted FastPass+ for Slinky Dog Dash, you need to plan to ride it on your last park day. This will give you a better chance of actually getting one. And make sure when your booking your FastPasses that you are on the app or website at exactly 7 AM EST on the 60th day before you arrive and you book this attraction first!
Get to the Parks EARLY!
Arrive at the parks at least 45 min to an hour before opening in order to be one of the first Guests on Slinky Dog Dash for the day. If Early Magic Hours are offered during your visit, plan to utilize them. You would want to arrive 30+ min before it starts.
Not many people use the Early Magic Hours because it is so early! They prefer Evening Magic Hours.
Get in Line 5-10 Minutes Before Closing
Disney will allow you on an attraction up to the listed closing time for the park. By getting in line right before closing, you are guaranteed a ride on Slinky Dog Dash. This can cut your wait time drastically and the bonus is that the sun is already set so you won’t be waiting in the heat.
While you are back in the land, you might go ahead and ride Alien Swirling Saucers while everyone else is watching the fireworks.
Play “The Fastpass Game”
To play this game, you must do it the night before your visit. Usually between 9 pm – 11 pm EST. If you pull up the My Disney Experience app on your phone and click to book a FastPass for the day of your visit, you’ll see a line that says “Morning, Afternoon, Evening”. If you touch that line, you can actually scroll over to 30 minute increment times starting with 9:00 AM. Click on each 30 minutes for the day and check to see if a FastPass you want pops up. If you see it, grab it. If not, keep clicking on each 30 minutes and checking for the FastPass. Once you get through the day, go back and start over. Continue doing this until you find the FastPasses you want or you get bored. It usually takes me about 20 minutes to score what I want and I listen to an audiobook while I am browsing.
I hope these tips help you score a FastPass or reduce your wait times!
