It is always fun to hear about other people opinions of Universal! I think everyone should do Universal. It’s a different unique experience then Disney theme parks. Don’t forget to check out the 9 Tips For Disney Fans 1st Time to Universal post!
Universal was so fun! Its different then Walt Disney World however equally as magical. Dare, I say maybe even more so! The attractions are more immersive then most attractions at Disney World. Maybe its because they have less space to work with and they really have to hook you in. Maybe its how they are competing with Disney. Either way its a win for us! The best part about Universal is it really a 2 day vacation. That makes it a great affordable option.
I really enjoyed Universal. I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy it. Chloe had her little heart set on Universal. I knew this was going to be one of the last chances for me to take her for a few years. We don’t want to go as a family until my littlest one is tall enough to ride most of the rides. Next year she will be going back to a traditional school. I won’t be able to just bring her with me whenever I go to Kristin’s. For those reasons, I decided to let her pick. To be completely honest, I was a little sad she didn’t pick Disney. I used some of my Couponing to Disney MNSSHP fund to cover the cost. Most of my Disney fund was earned by Swagbucks.
Universal is much smaller then Disney World. While there is lots to do and see its manageable in 2 days. If you have a plan you can easily see and do everything in 2 full park days. If you have fast pass express (which is an up-charge at Universal) you can do it all in a day. One way we where able to get on the popular attractions in a timely manner was by using single rider line. It took us about 20 minutes at most to get thru single rider line. When the regular line wait times where 70 minutes plus! We went during busy time in March. Not only is March Spring Break somewhere in America every week of the month. That week they had concerts going on most days. We where still able to see and do everything we wanted in 5 half days. Most days we only spent about 4 hours in the parks. During those 4 hours we ate lunch or dinner. We really didn’t rush around. It was more of a relaxed pace. I learned so many things during my visit! Be on the lookout for new posts going into more detail.

Thinking about planning a trip to Universal Studios? Kristin works exclusively with Destinations in Florida travel agency. They would love to help you plan your vacation. Just like with Disney vacations, there is no added fees or hidden costs to use a travel agent. It is the same cost if you book directly with Universal or thru a travel agent! That is a HUGE added bonus.
