It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that Walt Disney World increased the price of admission for the second time in less than a year.
One day admission to Magic Kingdom for an adult is $105.44 after tax. For a child (ages 3-9), it is now $99.05 after tax.
One day admission to EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park or Disney’s Hollywood Studios is now $100.11 after tax for an adult. For a child (ages 3-9), it is now $93.72 after tax.
The longer you stay, the less you pay per day. Here are the prices for the 2-Day to 10-Day tickets with tax included.
If you decide to add Park Hopper, it is $49 per ticket (+ tax) for the 1-3 day ticket and $60 per ticket for the 4-10 day ticket. Remember you can add Park Hopper to your ticket at anytime and do not need to make a decision on if it is right for your family at the time you purchase your tickets. Until they allow you to book Fastpass+ in more than one park a day, I do not recommend you get Park Hopper.
The Water Park Fun & More Option is $60 for ticket (+ tax) no matter how many days the ticket is good for.
If you want to add both Park Hopper and Water Park Fun & More (+ tax) to your ticket, you will pay $86 for both no matter how many days the ticket is good for.
If you are not booking the dining plan for your Walt Disney World vacation, check out the cheap Disney ticket deals you can get with Undercover Tourist for your park tickets. Their prices are cheaper than Disney’s and in all the years I have been researching Disney, I have never heard a single complaint about Undercover Tourist.
To compare, you can currently get a 10 day Disney ticket from Undercover Tourist for $365.42. You would pay $377.01 to purchase it directly from Disney. That’s a saving of $11.59 per ticket! For a family of 4, that would save even more!

I couldn’t found the old prices at Undercover Tourist, is it possible they don’t offer them anymore? I also checked http://orlando.hotelscheap.org and they have only a couple of discounted tickets. In this case, we are going to save only $50, which is better than nothing though. @Amy, could you please give me a link to see if there are some tickets at the old prices left?

We aren’t going until May, but I went ahead and bought our tickets yesterday from Undercover Tourist. They were selling what they already have at old prices. For our family of four, we saved $130 over buying from Disney. Five day tickets were $1144 instead of $1274. Big difference! Not sure if they still have more left at the old prices, but definitely worth checking ASAP.

Why is there even a difference between children and adult tickets with that little of a difference, I feel like that silly? I hope we can get there before they go up too much higher, my plan was in 3 years and we been saving at this rate we might never make it.

As the mom to special needs boys we used to love Disneyland because the Park made accomodations for their needs. But with the recent (and terrible) change from the GAC to the DAS pass, and now hearing that Disneyworld is raising prices again, we feel we are done with Disney. We promised my son if he got potty trained we would take him to Disneyland, but that will be our last trip. There are many other theme parks on the West Coast, that are cheaper and if I am going to be dealing with meltdowns, I would rather pay less.

I’m curious where else you’ll go, Sarah? Being from WA, the only places we have is the Great Wolf Lodge now in Grand Mound & the closest other amusement park to my knowledge is Silverwood in Idaho. Looking for other suggestions – while I love Disney, I have to agree. If the prices are going to keep hiking up at this rate, pretty soon by the time my kiddos are old enough to really enjoy the stuff I want to do (Tower of Terror anyone?), it’s going to financially be out of reach for us without a winning lottery ticket.

This saddens me….When will it ever end? Will it be double in 50 more years?
