There is much to prepare for your Disney World vacation and it can seem overwhelming. Today we have a handy dandy list of what reservations to make & when for your Disney World vacation. Below are 10+ advanced reservations to make for your Disney World vacation.
Up to 499 Days Out –> Book Your Disney World Package
It all starts with booking your trip! Guests can book their Disney World Package or room-only up to 499 days out and once they are released for your traveling year (typically June/July for upcoming year). Even better, you can cancel up to 30 days before arrival with no penalty (less travel insurance/airfare). Guests will only need a $200 deposit to lock in their package or room. Did you know a Travel Agent can help at no cost to you?
Up to 180 Days Out –> Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs)
No worries on whether or not you will be able to dine at your favorite table-service restaurant when you book your ADRs. Your advanced dining reservation can be made at both Disney World theme parks and Resort restaurants for many table-service eateries starting at 180 days in advance. Guests of Disney World Resorts can make ADRs for their entire length of stay (or up to 10 days after) on the 180th day from arrival. Want to try out the new Oga’s Cantina at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge? Grab your ADR!
Up to 180 Days Out –> Be Our Guest Breakfast, Lunch Or Dinner
Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom accepts ADRs for all meals, even though only Dinner is a sit-down. This popular restaurant features a meet & greet with the Beast himself during Dinner only. Otherwise, enjoy the same beautiful setting for breakfast or lunch guaranteed with your ADR. Furthermore, at 30 days out for Breakfast & lunch try advance ordering.
Up to 180 Days Out –> Build Your Own Lightsaber
Discover a secret workshop in the new land, named Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers. Here, with the assistance of the Gatherers, guests can build their own custom lightsaber. Guests can choose from a variety of saber parts from around the galaxy and kyber crystals. This is more than just a souvenir, its an experience.
Up to 180 Days Out –> Build Your Own Droid
While exploring the Black Spire Outpost, stop by the Droid Depot and build your own custom Droid. This workshop is stocked with tech items, parts, chips and manuals waiting to be constructed into your own droid. Make this reservation up to 180 days out to bring home your own built Droid from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Up to 180 Days Out –> Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Reservation
Young guests ages 3-12 can be transformed into Princes & Princesses. This magical makeover is a must experience for little ones at least once. Reservations are highly recommended. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique now has 3 locations at Disney World: Magic Kingdom, Disney Springs and at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You can now book this online!
Up to 180 Days Out –> Haircut at The Harmony Barber Shop
Get a fresh haircut right on Main St USA in Magic Kingdom at The Harmony Barber Shop. This location also does excellent First Haircut packages, coming with a complimentary Mickey ear hat! Consider booking a reservation for a haircut.
60 Days Out/30 Days Out –> Fastpass+ Reservations
Guests are allowed to book advanced Fastpass+ reservations at 60 days out (for those staying at a Disney World Resort) and at 30 days out for non-Resort guests. This allows 3 Fastpass (in the same park) per day. Do note, Magic Kingdom is the only park without Tiers where guests are allowed just 1 choice from Tier 1 and 2 from Tier 2. Grabbing advanced Fastpass+ is a huge timesaver. Be ready on your day at 7am ET.
30 Days Out –> Disney Package/Room Payment Due In Full
While this isn’t a reservation to make, 30 days out is noteworthy. The great thing about a Disney vacation is after the initial $200 deposit, guests have until 30 days from arrival to pay in full. Essentially meaning you can put your vacation on layaway and pay a little each month until this time. Penalties apply if you cancel prior to 29 days such as cancelling 2-29 days looses your $200 deposit.
14 Days Out –> Magical Express Reservations
For those flying in and taking advantage of Disney’s complimentary Magic Express Transportation, be sure to verify your reservation about 2 weeks prior to arrival. This ensures enough time to receive information and luggage tags by mail.
At last 3 Days In Advance –> Add Memory Maker & Save $30
Memory Maker allows guests unlimited digital downloads of photos and videos captured by Disney’s PhotoPass. These are truly memories to last a lifetime and a chance to get amazing family and group shots at iconic Disney landmarks. Furthermore, Character interactions and ride photos are included. Be sure to add Memory Maker at least 3 days prior to arrival to save. Cost to add 3 days prior is $169 versus the $199 to add while past this timeframe.
