I loved when it rained when we went as a kid. That meant short lines to all the rides!
Heather Kelly says
My husband and I stayed at Disneyland in CA once, in the rain!!! It was so awesome! No one was in the lines, or on the rides. It took the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to a whole other level. Having the rain in your face and getting wet while riding it, that was a blast!!! Also the Log Ride was cool too. I can’t remember what it’s called. :) Nothing wrong with being wet and walking around Disneyland.
Jess says
I agree with what many others have said, MK is great when the rain scares most of the people off ;-) We had the best time when it rained–no waits for lines whatsoever!! If you can stand to get a little wet, this is the best time to ride.
Jennifer Sutton- Discovery Toys says
Yep- the great FL weather! Hide for 15 min & then it will be gone. :)
Jada says
Yep, got stuck in Walmart from those pretty clouds! Hope you didn’t get wet.
heather v says
oh, that sky is BEAUTIFUL! can’t wait to hear your trip report on this one! i see you are still there waiting for spectro, so it must not have been TOO bad! :) have a great night!!
Karen A says
Yeah, there was a pretty bad storm earlier this afternoon. it didnt last long though. Hope you were able to get some rides in!
Keith says
Go find something to eat. Wait a minute, that’s what you do when the sun is shining! Oh well.
Alycia M says
Yeah that was a surprising thunder storm today. I saw a warning flash across the TV and immediately went to call the kids out of the pool. It hit about 10 min. after they got out. It was a hard rain with some lightning but it did pass quickly for us. I hope you all fared well!
Randi says
Did ya remember to pack your ponchos???
Debbie says
We need the rain!
Amy says
It wouldn’t be Florida without a little daily rain! Keep having a great time!
mandy says
YAY for Florida! lol Have fun! Just be careful of the lightning!
Peggy says
I LOVE rainy days! People panic and leave, which means I can hop on the rides quickly and go shopping when I’m done riding! =)
Ceci Price says
Great afternoon shower to cool you off and clear out the lines!! Think Positive!
Nicole says
At least you are not there when a hurricane is. Yup I was there when hurricane charlie hit about 6-7 years ago. It was pretty scary. At least now I can say I lived through a hurricane (i live on the west coast).
Ryhan says
Stay dry!
Christina says
It rained last time we were in MK. Usually my dad and I LOVE to stay during that time because it always thins out the crowds, but since it was all of us (my dad, husband, daughter, and me) we went in early to make sure my girl wouldn’t catch a cold. I hope it doesn’t get too wet for you!
Heather says
Wow! I think its more than a 10% chance now. I hope you stay dry but if it does rain just go into a shop or something until it passes and your evening should be awesome and “crowdless”! Have fun!
Nancy says
It should serve as a good park-emptier! I love when it rains and we’re at an amusement park!
Greta says
That’s Florida for you! Don’t worry though, it usually doesn’t rain all day here!
Kelly says
Those are some yucky lookin’ clouds. It rained every day while we were there last yr. By the second day the rain was part of the fun and adventure. :)
Karen Sc says
10% chance of rain here in Florida means it will rain for about 15 minutes around 4pm. LOL The best part is most people will probably freak out and leave; your wait times will be fantastic!
Di says
Stay strong – the weak will leave!!! Tell those kids to get ready – the park is about to be YOURS!
Jeananne says
Rain, rain go away!!!
jessica says
Hope the weather holds out for you!
Toni Haglund says
We just got done with tornados and flash flood warnings in my part of the midwest. Hope your 10% chance is just a quick sprinkle and not the 3.5 inches we just got. Sunny wishes at MK and enjoy the fireworks!!
MM says
hmmm…10% percent chance of rain…or sun? :)
Melanie says
If you don’t mind getting wet, that is the best time to hit up some rides. Or with a little one, you can go hang out in the Baby Care center behind Crystal Palace. We hung out there for 2 hours last year during an afternoon rain-out. Baby napped and the older ones had a snack and watched a movie.
Ryann says
Yikes!
Judy says
With ponchos on, DW is great in the rain if you can stand it. Everyone clears out it seems. Ok the wet sneakers aren’t great…
Anna D. says
Growing up in the Deep South, I know what that cloud means…..ugly sounds, scary light show, a 30 minute downpour, followed by nasty humidity! lol. Sometimes the bark IS worse than the bite.
Sarina Jackson says
We got rained out once at Disneyland-we just rode the train around the park for about an hour to stay dry during the worst part of the storm and chose long indoor rides like Pirates and Haunted Mansion. I didnt mind too much because the crowds did lighten alittle!
Casey says
Welcome to Florida ;) 4:00 thunderstorms just about every afternoon, but don’t worry… they don’t last more then 30 minutes!
DeAnna says
Hopefully you will stay dry and no rain. Have fun!
Amanda Johnston says
hope you don’t get wet!
tryna says
the sky looks nasty – like everyone else said if you can ride it out you will have the park practically to yourself – not that its been to bad for you this far
Robin says
That sky is some kind of freaky looking!!! Hope you guys are able to stay dry!!
Glenda says
Looks like a bigger chance of rain! Don’t worry–just go to the Carousel of Progress or another indoor ride/show to wait it out. Like others said it will probably scare off some people and make your night even more enjoyable.
Stay dry and have a fun evening.
Glenda

i rained one am when we were there. Don’t worry, most people will leave and we got EVERY SINGLE big attraction don- several times each in about 3 hours. The sun came back out, and we left!It was one of the best days we had there because of the lack of brave souls!
Marti says
Ah, those infamous 15 minute WDW downpours! Hope you packed ponchos!
Holly H says
Ten percent….that seems hopeful until you look up….LOL. I hope you guys have a dry and cool evening :)
