Here are 10 Facts About Frozen Ever After And Its 300 Minute Wait
1. Frozen Ever After is approximately 4 minutes 30 seconds long.
2. The line on opening day reached 300 minutes. You could watch the movie Frozen three times back to back for a total of 327 minutes while you wait. You know if you brought it with you.
3. People are booking breakfast at Akershus and Garden Grill before the park opens and either eating really fast or skipping breakfast all together and paying the $10 per person no show fee. According to a video I saw today, there were already 150 people in line before the park opened at 9 AM.
4. Frozen Ever After uses the same track as Maelstrom. But it does have a few extra scenes added where Maelstrom was just dark during that time. Check out this neat side by side comparison of the two rides.
5. Frozen had down time both yesterday and today. Today it had to be evacuated and guests are reporting that they had to drain the ride. As of 4:02 PM, it is showing down on the My Disney Experience app.
6. They have put Frozen in the same tier as Soarin’ and Test Track. Your best bet is to Fastpass Frozen, hit Soarin’ at Rope Drop and then hurry over to Test Track. If your party contains people 7 years of age or older and you don’t mind not sitting in the same row, head into the single rider line for a shorter wait time.
7. If you are brave enough to get in the long line, you’ll end up with free water and ice cream. I saw the water and I heard about the ice cream, but don’t take my word on it. I also heard they were giving out Rice Krispy Treats.
8. Another Guest reported getting there an hour before the park opened and still waiting in a 240 minute line. I got there at 7 AM and was the 20th person there. I was still about the 200th person on the ride because of people with breakfast reservations beating me to it. If only we could wait in front of the attraction we want to ride!
9. Those that used Fastpass on opening day are reported waiting anywhere from 10 – 30 minutes. Get that Fastpass!
10. They continue to have technical difficulties with the animatronics. I have heard that it is mainly Elsa that is acting up. I’ve also heard that the switch that changes the boat from backwards to forwards is malfunctioning.
Are you going to attempt Frozen? I am glad we did! It was really good. Just plan on making a morning of it if you can’t get a Fastpass+.
I can hardly wait! Im headed down this weekend but my boy doesn’t have an annual pass so we are only going to magic kingdom. Im going to try for fast passes when I take him to Epcot in August. BTW, do you know if the day starts at midnight for the fast passes?
They changed it to 7am EST.
