This is my list of the 10 must do’s in Disneyland Park. Have you done them all?
10. The Disneyland Gallery – Located on Main Street, at Disneyland Gallery you can see pictures and artifacts from the designing of the Disneyland theme park. You’ll even find the bench that Walt sat on when he dreamed up the idea of the park.
9. Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters – Who doesn’t like shooting stuff? On this attraction, you are right in the game where your goal is to shoot as many targets as you can to rack up the most points. Everyone in your party will have fun trying to beat each other.
8. Meet Mickey Mouse – Really….how can you visit Disneyland and not meet Mickey? You’ll find him back at his house in Toontown. The kids will love walking through the house before you line up to meet him at the end of the self-guided tour.
7. Matterhorn Bobsleds – This classic attraction is unique to Disneyland and a must do for all guests. There are 2 different tracks with 2 different queues so make sure you do each side for a different experience.
6. Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye – This is a very heart racing attraction as you attempt to escape the Forbidden Eye with the help of Indiana Jones himself. This ride can be scary for little ones, so keep that in mind before you take them on it.
5. Sleepy Beauty Castle Walkthrough – This underrated attraction gives you a chance to walk right through the heart of the castle. It is worth it just to know that you are inside something so magnificent and beautiful.
4. Breakfast at Plaza Inn – Join Minnie Mouse and her friends and enjoy American Favorites from the buffet. This is one of the best character meals we have ever experienced because it has a huge range of characters. We have met Hook, Pooh, Max and The Fairy Godmother.
3. Peter Pan’s Flight – Fly over London and on to Neverland with the help of Tinker Bell and Peter Pan. This attraction will make you feel the magic of Disney and leave you feeling like you really did take a trip to Neverland.
2. Pirates of the Caribbean – Take a boat ride deep under the ground of the Disneyland park as you float through the story of the Pirates of the Caribbean. This attraction is longer and more detailed than the version at Walt Disney World so it is a must for WDW veterans.
1. Walt Disney World Railroad – Walt loved trains and it was a given that he would choose to frame his park with a railroad. Taking a ride on this train will make you feel connected with the man who started it all. One of the trains even pulls Lilly Belle, the train car designed for Walt’s wife. If you drive early in the day you can even request to ride in this car.
