Back Story
Another love of Disney World is a great story. For the Na’vi hunters it is crucial to bond with a mountain banshee. Therefore, flying on the back of one is a rite of passage to the Na’vi culture. Hence the name – Avatar Flight of Passage. Now guests are invited for the same opportunity. See Pandora from a banshees perspective on your flight.

Avatar Flight of Passage is a flight simulator, guests board on the back of a Banshee (seat is motorcycle-style). Everyone gets their own seat. There is a sample attraction seat to try before you ride prior to the entrance.

Fastpass+
This continues to be one of the most popular attractions at Disney World, wait times of 2+ hours are not uncommon. Therefore a Fastpass+ is highly recommended, be ready at 7am on your 60th day prior to arrival to book. I also recommend working backwards and booking towards the end of your trip, since everyone else with your dates will also be booking many start with Day 1. This increases your chances of getting an early morning Fastpass+.
VIP Tour
The Ultimate Nights of Adventure VIP Tour at Disney’s Animal Kingdom includes a guaranteed ride of Avatar Flight of Passage and more.
Single Line Rider
Avatar Flight of Passage does ask for single riders to fill the ride vehicles however you have to wait in the regular queue. As you near the front, they will call for single riders as needed and you can move forward some in the line.
Incredible Queue
If you can not snag a Fastpass+, at least the Queue is interesting. Guests have the chance to see: Na’vi paintings in a cave, a forgotten RDA building, the science lab and much more, all while walking through the queue. Watch the Queue walkthrough.
Windtraders
Like most Disney attractions, a gift shop is waiting for guests at the exit. Guests will find Windtraders after the ride, this is Pandora’s only souvenir shop. Here guests can adopt a banshee, build their own avatar figure, shop for plush, toys, apparel and more.

Another thing! The theater seats multiple shows at once. Look to your sides to see other people. My point is, if a person vomits in one area, even if it’s nowhere near you, the entire ride is set on hold while they clean it. We had sat down on the ride and were waiting for the restraints to be put on. It took maybe 10 minutes before a cast member came to “evacuate” us from the ride. We went into another show room and were stuck in the preshow area while they cleaned the protein spill. It puts a huge delay in the wait times, even those on the ride! I’m just glad we had fast passes.
There is not a single rider line for Flight of Passage. At the end of the regular line, they will ask if anyone is a single rider and at that point they will bring you into a separate line to fill the seats.
Omg, I’m 70 And spent a long 2 1/2 hour wait for this ride. It was intense. For a simulation it’s pretty good, kept closing my eyes. I think our wait time was longer then if we had gotten in line later. Don’t try this ride as soon as you get to the park cause without fast passes that’s when the lines are the longest. The board said a 102 minute wait that turned into 2 1/2. Later in the day it still said 102 but the lines were nowhere as long. Also on Tueday through Thursday the lines are shorter. Worth the wait, it’s like soaring but on steroids. HA!
