As you plan your trip, here are 10 Things To Do In Epcot’s World Showcase:
10. Press Pennies – Bring 2 quarters and a penny for every pressed penny you’d like to do. You can find these in almost all of the countries (a few countries do have their machines in the store at the International Gateway.
9. International Candy – Enjoy candy from 11 countries around the world (you can always skip America if you are an American). Ask one of the Cast Members what their favorite candy is for the opportunity to learn more about their country.
8. Wave the flag – See if you can find a small souvenir flag in each of the 11 countries. When you do, wave it proudly and snap a picture.
7. Visit Kidcot Stations – Each country has a Kidcot station that is staffed by a Cast Member from that specific country. Ask them to write your name or other word in their native language. When my husband and I went for our anniversary, we asked the Cast Members to write love on an autograph frame for us.
6. Play Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure – For a chance to really dive into the pavilions, play this fun and interactive quest game. You’ll get to solve missions in each country and learn a little bit about them along the way.
5. Drink around the world – If you are interested in trying a variety of adult beverages, you can stop off in each country for a spirit of your choosing. It might not be a good idea to finish off each one yourself. I am not sure you would make it all the way around the world if you did.
4. Snack around the world – Stop off in each country for a different snack to share. We’ve discovered it’s pretty difficult to accomplish this in a day. So we usually do half of the World Showcase on one day and half on the next.
3. Find creative souvenirs – If you want something unique for friends and family back home, browse the shops of each of the pavilions in the World Showcase where they carry souvenirs original to their homelands. You could even make it a competition with your family to see who can find the most creative and unique souvenirs.
2. See the entertainment – Many of the countries have daily entertainment (singers, performers, acrobats) and a few even have movies. Check the Times Guide when you arrive for performance times in each of the countries.
1. Meet the characters – Many people don’t realize that the World Showcase is an excellent place to meet characters! Here are the current characters you can meet:
- Mary Poppins – United Kingdom Pavilion
- Alice – United Kingdom Pavilion
- Belle – France Pavilion
- Aladdin and Jasmine – Morocco Pavilion
- Snow White – Germany Pavilion
- Mulan – China Pavilion
- Donald Duck – Mexico Pavilion
