1. Enjoy the 2020 Festival of the Arts
Returning for 2020 is the festival that celebrates all things art – Festival of the Arts. Celebrate visual, culinary, performing arts! They are at the Festival of the Arts starting January 17 through February 24, 2020. Plus, Disney on Broadway Concert Series! It returns nightly to the festival bringing Disney on Broadway stars to the America Gardens Theatre.

2. See All of Epcot’s New Films
Three new film experiences await Epcot, all releasing on January 17, 2020. Catch Awesome Planet in The Land Pavilion, Beauty and the Beast Sing Along in the France pavilion and Canada Far and Wide in the Canada pavilion.
3. After Hours Events
Dreaming of little to no wait times for your favorite attractions? Consider an After Hours Event at select Disney Parks. New dates have been added through 2020, see the list now. Enjoy After Hours at Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. Also at Magic Kingdom are additional dates specifically for Disney Villains After Hours!
Disney After Hours is a separate ticketed event, allowing after-hours access to select Disney parks, entering at 7pm. Guests have 3 hours with little to no wait on select attractions, character greetings and experiences. Plus, select treats (ice cream novelties and popcorn) and beverage are included in price!
4. Try American Barbecue at Regal Eagle Smokehouse
An all new American Barbecue joint is coming to the American Pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase. Come in for a classic barbecue meal and craft beers. Plus, this eatery will feature 4 house-recipe sauces: Spicy Mop Sauce, Sweet BBQ Sauce, Vinegar-based Sauce and Tangy Mustard Sauce! This eatery replaces the former Liberty Inn.
5. Dine Above Earth at Space 2020
A new concept restaurant run by Patina Restaurant Group is scheduled for Epcot for Winter 2020. The Space themed restaurant will offer guests views of space (from above earth), for an out of this world dinner.
For guests 21+, there are more than 1,000 bottles of wines and a craft beer selection! The new eatery will be located next to Mission: Space in Epcot.
6. Grab a Sweet Treat with Ample Hills Creamery
Coming Winter 2020 to Disney Springs is an all new place to grab a sweet treat, named Ample Hills Creamery Sweet Treats. The Ooey Gooey Butter cake is a must try ice-cream flavor!
7. Watch Sports On A 165″ TV At City Works Eatery & Pour House
Looking for a spot in Disney to watch your favorite sporting event? Consider heading to the City Works Eatery & Pour House, opening Winter 2020 at Disney Springs. Guests can expect classic American Food and craft beers in this restaurant & bar. The 165-inch high-def TV is perfect for watching live sporting events! As with their other locations, this one also offers 80 beers on tap!
8. See the Topiaries at Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
Perhaps the prettiest Festival at Disney World will return to Epcot from March 4 through June 1. Guests can take in all the Topiaries during the Flower & Garden Festival, plus visit outdoor kitchens, see Garden Rocks Concert Series and more.
9. Ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Get ready for Mickey’s first ride-through attraction at Disney, named Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Ride this new attraction at Hollywood Studios starting March 4, 2020. This attraction will feature an all new original song and a brand new cartoon short featuring Minnie & Mickey at a picnic. The engineer behind the ride, is none other than Goofy, putting guests into the movie screen, on an unpredictable journey, with Mickey Mouse and his friends. Disney named the technology for this attraction, 2 1/2-D, (as opposed to 3D), as no 3D glasses are needed.
10. Visit the new Mickey Shorts Theater
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting a new Mickey Shorts Theater opening March 2020. See the concept art above, where guests will see an original short. Then, find special photo locations to take pictures. I love the Mickey inspired seats.
11. Grab Tickets For the new Cirque Du Soleil Show
The all new Cirque Du Soleil show at Disney Springs, is named, “Drawn to Life” and will open at Disney Springs in April 17, 2020 (preview shows start March 20, 2020). The show centers around a courageous and determined girl, named Julie, who finds an unfished animation piece from her late father. In her journey, she is guided by a surprising pencil and her Disney childhood memories to imagine new possibilities for her future, using animation.
This new show is a collaboration brought to you by Walt Disney Animation Studios, Walt Disney Imagineering and Cirque du Soleil.
12. Race Across Gusteau’s Kitchen on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is coming to Epcot’s France Pavilion in summer 2020. This ride will have guests shrinking down to the size of a rat for an adventure with Chef Remy. We know, the ride vehicles will be trackless and guests will be racing across Gusteau’s Kitchen floor in an adorable ride vehicle.
13. Try a Crepe from France Pavilion’s New Crepes Restaurant
A new Creperie, named La Creperie de Paris, is coming to the France Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase. In an all-new location (near the upcoming Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure) guests are invited to experience the crepe starting summer 2020. This location will offer table service and quick-service dining as well. Guests can grab sweet crepes and galettes to go. Food is led by Chef Jerome Bocuse.
14. See the newest Nighttime Spectacular named, Harmonious
A new permanent nighttime spectacular makes it way to Epcot in 2020. In fact, it will be the largest nighttime spectacular at Disney World to date. The new show celebrates how Disney music inspires, featuring large floating pieces, choreographed moving fountains and custom-built LED panels. Along with music, lights, lasers and fireworks.
15. Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Epcot International Food & Wine Festival
Returning Fall 2020 is a guest favorite at Epcot, the International Food & Wine Festival. This year marks a special milestone, its 25th Anniversary! 16. Trick Or Treat At Disney’s Magic Kingdom
Trick or Treat at Disney’s Magic Kingdom during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party, a separate ticketed event. Plus, the WHOLE family can dress up! Also enjoy the Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular and more.
17. Dine at Roundup Rodeo BBQ for an immersive experience
Coming to Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a new rodeo themed table-service restaurant. Andy made the eatery using 3 cardboard boxes, toys, games and play sets for a colorful and fun setting. Once inside guests will find western town & train station play sets and rodeo festivities. Favorite Disney-Pixar characters will be found in unique toys, Jessie riding on the back of a Trixie pull toy and Bo Peep and her sheep. This fun family restaurant will perfectly fit into the theme of Toy Story Land.
18. Celebrate the 5oth Anniversary of Earth Day at Animal Kingdom & More
Upcoming in 2020 are some exciting anniversaries at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Plus, the 25th Anniversary of the Disney Conservation Fund. Furthermore, Animal Kingdom’s gorilla family are celebrating birthdays, with Lilly turning 10 and Grace turning 1!
