Star Tours – The Adventure Continues is a 3D simulated space flight aboard a Starspeeder 1000 that takes you right into the world of Star Wars. Your flight will be immersed into worlds like Tatooine, Naboo or Hoth and you might even encounter Yoda, Princess Leia or Darth Vader. With over 50 story combinations, every ride is a unique and new experience.
Here are 6 facts about Star Tours – The Adventure Continues.
1. Be the Rebel Spy. One guest aboard the Starspeeder 1000 will be chosen as the Rebel Spy. To increase your chances, begin to stare at the seatbelt sign the minute you are in your seat (before you put on your 3D glasses). My husband was chosen once by doing this! You should be able to find a commemorative pin for purchase in the gift shop at the exit of the ride.
2. Ask for the front row. If you want a smooth ride (great for those with motion sickness issues), the front row is the way to go. Just ask the Cast Member if you can be seated there if possible. The middle seats will have the smallest range of motion.
3. 50 different ride combinations. There are over 50 different ride combinations that you can experience. So even if you ride multiple times in a row, there is a great chance that you won’t experience the same thing twice.
3 different opening scenes: Darth Vader, Millennium Falcon or the Skytroopers
3 different second scenes: Hoth, Kashyyk or Tatooine
4 different characters: Admiral Ackbar, Princess Leia, Yoda or BB-8
3 different finales: Death Star, Coruscant or Naboo
4. Spot R2-D2 in the queue. The silhouette of R2-D2 will appear repeatedly in the queue and at some point he will have on Mickey Ears.
5. Ewok Party. Listen closely in the queue to see if you can make out the Ewoks having a party around a campfire in the forest. This is based on a scene from Return of the Jedi.
6. Look for references to George Lucas. When the droid scans guests in the queue, one of the images that flash by is that of George Lucas. And if you hear someone page for Mister Egroeg Sacul, that is George Lucas spelled backwards.
