Are you planning to meet these 4 characters with the longest lines at Walt Disney World? If so, here are some tips on how to meet them with minimal wait.
Anna and Elsa – While the lines are not reaching a 6 hour wait now that they are meeting at the Magic Kingdom, you can still expect to wait upwards of 90 minutes unless you have been lucky enough to get a Fastpass+. Read over these tips for securing a Fastpass+ reservation, but if you can’t get one then the best time to meet them is during the fireworks at night. With the way they rope off Fantasyland, their line appears to be closed when it is not. Just approach the Cast Member at the entrance and he’ll direct you into the line.
Merida – This princesses meet and greet is different than every other one at Walt Disney World. She only allows a certain number of guests into each meeting time during the day. When it’s your turn, you are all ushered into Fairytale Garden together. Kids can color or learn archery while the parents line up along the wall to wait your turn to meet Merida. Check your Times Guide for accurate meeting times during your visit, but the best time to meet her is as soon as the park opens. They let one parent wait until it’s time to enter, so send dad back to the line and take your Princess on a ride in Fantasyland before joining him in the line.
Buzz and Woody – These 2 Pixar favorites meet together across from Toy Story Mania. As soon as families finish the ride in the morning, they head over to the line and it can get long and deep very fast. My suggestion is to get a Fastpass+ for Toy Story Mania for 9:30 – 10:30 and meet these 2 characters when the park opens.
Mickey at Town Square Theater – Plan on getting a Fastpass+ to meet him. However, his Fastpass+ reservations do not book up that quickly and you can usually get one in the park that day. So book your 3 Fastpass+ reservations ahead of time for different popular attractions and then grab this one at the kiosk as your 4th Fastpass+.

Thanks for the tips! Even as an adult I think meeting & getting photos with the characters are a fun part of the trip.
