Dole Whip is one of the most talked about and coveted treats of Disney veterans. Here are 5 facts about the Dole Whip that you need to know.
Choices – There is a Dole Whip which is a soft serve pineapple or vanilla flavored dessert. There is also the Dole Whip Float which is Dole pineapple juice topped with the soft serve treat. Either one is an acceptable choice when experiencing the wonderfulness of a Dole Whip.
Flavor – The Dole Whip comes in Pineapple or Vanilla. Pineapple is the most popular flavor and the one people reference when they are talking about how amazing a Dole Whip is.
Dairy Free – If you are dairy free or vegan, the Dole Whip (pineapple flavor only) is both! In my book, this makes it the best treat on Disney property! It is also gluten free!
Multiple Locations – Dole Whip can now be purchased at Aloha Isle’s new location behind Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Located in the former Sunshine Tree Terrace, this new location allows for multiple areas to order your Dole Whip making the line move quickly and efficiently. They also now have an entire restaurant dedicated to the Dole Whip at Polynesian Village Resort called Pineapple Lanai. You can even get a souvenir bowl here! And stop by Tamu Tamu in Animal Kingdom’s Africa area to enjoy a very very close resemblance of the treat on your hot days in the park. You can even get the treat topped with Rum at this location.
Melts Quickly – This delicious dessert will melt very quickly in the Florida heat. Be prepared to consume it as soon as you receive it. There is ample seating around Aloha Isle and Tamu Tamu. Pineapple Lanai has it’s own dedicated seating area. Grab plenty of napkins and a couple of spoons and dive in!

had one 4 days ago and I already miss it! I did find on Amazon the dry mix to use in an ice cream maker, but it is VERY pricey!

Love Dole Whip. FYI I was at Magic Kingdom late July (2015) and they only had Pineapple flavor not Vanilla. While I wasn’t disappointed many others were.
