Debating on purchasing the Park Hopper tickets? Here are 5 reasons to Park Hop at Walt Disney World.
1. Crowds – If your plans fall apart because the park is more crowded than you expected, abandon everything and hop to the less crowded park. Just check the wait times on the My Disney Experience app for the park you would like to hop to.
2. Weather – If it is raining and you are at Animal Kingdom, you might want to hop over to Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios where everything is closer together and mainly located indoors. I don’t advise leaving the parks in the rain because most people do and if you stay you are left with low crowds!
3. Dining Experiences – If you want to experience multiple restaurants in one park but don’t want to spend your entire days there, schedule a lunch around 1-2 pm and spend your mornings and evenings in other parks.
4. Fastpass+ – With the introduction of the new Fastpass+ system, you can book 3 Fastpass+ reservations for attractions 60 days before you depart. You might want to book some in the evening at one park and arrive at Rope Drop at another park to accomplish all you want at that park. For example, we rarely use Fastpass+ at Animal Kingdom but arrive at Rope Drop and experience our favorite rides and shows and then hop over to Magic Kingdom in the evening where we have Fastpass+ reservations booked.
5. Because You Can – Yep! This is a valid reason to Park Hop. Tired of one park, hop to another! Want to browse World Showcase in the afternoon? Hop there! Want to ride Seven Dwarfs at Magic Kingdom again? Hop there! Remember it is your vacation and it can be what you want it to be.

We have taken advantage of Park Hopper each year during the busy week between Christmas and New Year’s. It helps us so much because we are not early risers. It gives us the flexibility we need when lines (especially at Magic Kingdom) can be an incredible wast of time.
Another good reason would be if you are only there for two or three days and you want to experience something from each park.
